Spencer's giving some Alfalfa a shot this year! The guy is addicted to Hay. We got some Oats seeded with the help of a neighbor and then came back and seeded Alfalfa right over the top. We did about 13 Acres. The plan is to combine the oats in July and then bale the straw. Also got the sprayer figured out and ready to roll for plant24! Thanks for watching!

Find a deere rate controller and throw it on that sprayer, so much easier dealing with everything through your deere monitor being able to run your autotrac and rates on it

Lots of cornstalk residue normally doesent equate for great alfalfa stands. But you can also float alfalfa on and if you catch the right rains it’s will come up nicely

Been farming for 20 years and we've always put a piece of wire on the left side hydraulic hose to mark which one goes in the left side. Been that way long before I started helping, just turned 32 and started helping out during summer and around school and it's been a great thing to help easily figure out which is which.

I don't know if this is what you meant by new filter ring but. When you take the filter off the tractor there is a seal on the filter its self they sometimes it gets stuck or left on the spot you screw the oil filter on there and its hard to notice. I did the same thing on my truck and oil was all over the ground when it was warming up. just trying to help I dont know much about tractors.

When you you seed before a rain anything that you don't get covered the rain will do it for you The corn stalks will break down and provide nutrients for the alfalfa and help hold the soil until every thing gets some roots

I wish ya well on sickle sections they don't like corn stubble. And balers will pick up rootballs. Your alfalfa would be Wirth more. Also what are you going to do for storage or is it already sold before you bale? First cutting is the money maker. Wish ya luck.
