How about heating the screws? That's how I remove the scewed links on my Speedmaster (2021 bracelet). When it comes to put the scews back in place, I suggest loctite 222 (purple) that can be removed without heat, only the force of your hands.

Tuna hack? This is so funny. I've already want to try this method in other scenario.

It’s useful for removing a stripped screw head in almost any situation. Of course that’s assuming you have enough surface to hold the glue.

There is a guy in the UK that makes aftermarket screws so you can get torx or Phillips screws for only like 25$. Also when reinstalling screws just add a small drop of clear nail polish to the treads and it will act like a weak thread locker.

I forgot about the aftermarket screws, thanks for the suggestion. A long time ago, I remember the oem shroud screws being much cheaper than they are now.

FYI . AliExpress sell Tuna shroud screws for a fraction of the cost of "the guy in the UK" or Seiko. Different colours available. One size fits all. They fit my SNE Solar Tuna perfectly.

nice video!!!may i ask you if i remove the shroud and the screws and leave it like that will it affect the watches waterproof? thank you

Thanks. It’s won’t impact water resistance at all. I believe you need the shroud to keep the bezel secured.

Do you have a video of changing the Darth tuna battery please?
@InterestingWatches2 ай бұрын
I tried to record it while taking it apart and… it was just a bit too much. Once you get the shroud and bezel off, you have to be super careful not to scratch the dial. Sorry.

May I ask you some question? I've heard some people says that after removing the shroud, there were always have some rust inside, is that real?
@InterestingWatches2 жыл бұрын
Not sure about rust (this one is titanium), but definitely dirt/debris from wearing it. It will eventually get into the bezel. That’s why it’s good to disassemble and clean it out every once and a while - especially if you swim in the ocean.

Do you know the screw spec for these screws?
@InterestingWatches2 жыл бұрын
Do you mean as far as diameter + thread count/pitch? No idea, sorry. There are a few people who specialize in manufacturing aftermarket screws - they would have that kind of information. Here is one of them: usa.crystaltimes.net/shop/products/spare-parts/ct287-tuna-shroud-screws-3pc/
