Project no.106 DIY Homemade Electric winch
Didn't expect this electric winch project to come up good, i think it can hold up to 400kilos.
btw this project will be attempt to attach in a motorcycle lift table.

That's a nice build. I really like that simple but working cable handling clamp thingy. ( I tried to find right word for it, guide, tensioner.. 🤔 )

@@SekAustria nice idea, but i think it isn't safe/good for wire rope, it can make a surface damage that make it unsafe

Hello Sek, very interesting work. may i ask which motor specification( KW/HP; V/RPM, etc.) you are using. I have very old koenig winch which i want to power it with electric motor for PULLING (not Lifting) logs in the forest. Your response would be very helpful.

you could get a power feed easily on the lathe, with a few more gears/belts.

Lovely! Yo should also include a brake mechanism to stop the motor free run in case the power goes off while there is load on the rope. Thanks.

@@zemongoose123 I have worked in elevator industry for 30 years where they still use worm gear connected to the motor with a electro magnetic braking system in between. And the elevator starts moving (to up or down depending on the load inside corraborating with counter weight load) in power off condition if you losen the electro mechanical brake manually, means disengaging the brake. And the same can happen here also. The load forces the motor to turn, of course here it will be in down direction, in power off condition.

Most of the induction motor has a instruction in the cover of the wiring. I hope it helps

Yes you can. I have made two of them but I buy the complete reduction gear box. Here he is using parts of a reduction box only. Have to use a reversing switch for the motor.
