Great video, I just watched it and realized that I was inadvertently getting my hips too low and letting my knees and shoulders drift too far forward on the setup and was able to immediately correct it.

What if your hands land inside the knurling? I use hook grip when doing heavy singles. Will the hands on the smooth part of the bar give enough grip for maxing out?
@IndustrialStrengthGym5 жыл бұрын
Hi there sorry for the delay. Yes on a standard bar your hands may be within the knurling as your arms should be directly below your shoulders. Some bars have a more narrow knurling to accommodate a sumo / semi sumo lifter but they are rare. We have one from Ivanko we like.

One question, toes point our around 45 degree, while others say a semi sumo should put toes relatively straight, my concern is what does point out your toes do for deadlift? What factors to determine a person should toe more or less?
@bluetsunami7 жыл бұрын
Romeo Toes pointed out help to activate the glutes, but just as important, they help get the knees to point outwards which gets them out of the way of the bar path. The knee angle is more dramatic in full sumo or wide sumo
@LOLAZOH5 жыл бұрын
Toes has to point at any degree that makes you confortable. Every body have diferent biomechanic so everybody have diferent toes and knees.

Anything with your hands inside the knees is sumo.
