March 21 | Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI), Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Courts Subcommittee, delivers the thirtieth in a series of speeches titled “The Scheme,” exposing the machinations by right-wing donor interests to capture the Supreme Court and achieve through the Court what they cannot through the elected branches of government.
Whitehouse recaps what we know about the right-wing special interest Court capture operation and the ethics-free zone around the Supreme Court. Whitehouse also provides an update on his ongoing legislative and oversight efforts on courts issues.

That may sound like a good plan but in reality, a judge could get in there and do a lot of damage and feel beholden to whoever nominated them. They would in effect be owned. The reason they give Supreme Court justices a lifetime appointment is so they don't have to worry about being beholden to anyone. But as we all can see, when there's no accountability to anyone or any agency, their absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Real accountability can't exist in near impossible impeachment proceedings.

Senator Whitehouse , I see few if no GOP members sit and listen to your fact-finding presentations, but know that Americans are watching and I like many hope significant policy change is made against our disgraceful Supreme Court, although not all members are guilty of these crimes. I have lost all confidence in the American Justice System. I never thought I would ever witness the flagrant dismissal of the deadly actions of the highchair tyrant and traitor - trump. I am done! What was the minimum requirements of the DOJ? It's embarrassing and the lack of action by the DOJ places me and all other American citizens in imminent danger and that of the U.S. Constitution. I no longer trust our justice system!

How many people actually research the judges when setting out to vote? I read up on them - and it’s not that easy. I had a friend whose mother was a judge and I was better able to talk about who was running etc. I no longer have that gift (They have since passed on) and i get a headache researching these people. I can tell you that the majority of people will not put this work in. So that needs to change as well.

Why doesn't Congress impeach at least 2 of the corrupt SCOTUS Justices. Senator Whitehouse and myself can't be the only ones who care about this. I've been following this, thanks to Senator Whitehouse, for years!
