Does the 8060 have the option of being powered by batteries so it can be connected to a DSLR?

Is there a way to mount 8070 to camera? Or is there no way?

I can’t if these guys are being sarcastic or serious in their discomfort with each other, and the operator XD

Getting an 8070 now for nature recordings
@pregnancychat12 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the quick reply! I've been using the basic cheap Audio-Technica (forgot the model) and I'm getting some hiss and noise, so I'm looking for an upgrade. I thinking about a shotgun mic but after hearing the comparison, your lav mic would be perfect! I'm based in Ireland and have limited access to products so might go with the AT Pro-70 which is the only one I can get here. Thanks again! Keep up the hard work on your videos, very helpful!

Video is great, just wondering what lavaliere mic you are using?

Someone needs to the read "The Location Sound Bible" by Ric Viers and then apply it. Good video though.

How do these compare to an MKE 600, and the Aputure Deity?
@BandH6 жыл бұрын
The MKE 600 and Aputure Deity are excellent short shotgun microphones for the money, especially for the DSLR or camcorder shooter wanting to mount the microphone on camera. It is a better choice for the hobbyist or advanced amateur as opposed to the working pro for film set or television or ENG use. Wedding and event shooters like these short shotgun microphones too. >Mark

How do these compare to the MKH 416 say for indoor / outdoor foley and nature outside noises ?
@BandH8 жыл бұрын
+David Boris Fernandez The 416 short shotgun compares best with the 8060 short shotgun. The 8060 is a good choice for interior dialog (think on-set, TV shows, soap operas.) The 416 is a great choice for interior or exterior dialog film use, FX, and nature recording. The 8070 was developed for ENG applications -think run & gun news shooters. >Mark

+B and H Thanks for that but does anyone know how the Rode NTG-3 compares with the 416 (never mind price). I'm considering the two for some foley work and outdoor noises in cities and in nature also.
@BandH8 жыл бұрын
+David Boris Fernandez The RODE NTG-3 is an excellent lower-cost alternative to Sennheiser's offerings and also includes a Limited 10-Year Warranty. Mark S

@@BandH can the 8070 be used on lets say a safari? Or is it too long/big to be used in travel? I like to mount to my camera usually

Which one is better and which one is newer microphone from 8060 and 8070 models?
@BandH5 жыл бұрын
Both microphones were released at about the same time. Both microphones are excellent and your choice would come down to whether you need a short or long shotgun microphone for your projects or applications. Questions? E-mail us at: askbh@bandh.com >Mark

@@BandH i have MKH 416, do you think that MKH 8070 or MKH 816 is better than MKH 416 microphone?

Very bad boom operator ahahahha The 8070's has not been used properly, seems muffled.

The windscreen that comes with 8060 is useless. I have it and I know what I'm talking about. It's really not fair to misinform people like that. Mic itself is superb, but its windscreen was a total disappointment.
@unithom3 жыл бұрын
If you need something better, you get a blimp, and if you need more, you throw a dead cat on it.
@alisaljic3 жыл бұрын
@@unithom I was expecting the windscreen i.e. foam to at least allow indoor boom swinging without air being audible. I went to a store with a plug-on transmitter, receiver and a pair of headphones. Tested all the foams they had and found that even the really cheap ones were performing way better than the one that came with the mic. I don't tend to use a blimp indoors. Not if I can help it.

@@alisaljic It's a very sensitive mic to be sure
@alisaljic2 жыл бұрын
@@wcsdiaries It sure is. I learned how to handle it with time, but it requires ninja skills even with the best of shock mounts and wind protection. Not a mic for inexperienced boom ops. But it sure is sturdy and resilient to the elements, it wont fail you in that venue.

Still, teach them to roll their wrists to point from one to the other, instead of having to swing it all the way back and forth 😂
