Karate Teacher Reacts to wikiHow Article on how to win a Street Fight.. It's not good.
If you really want to learn how to fight, go take some martial arts classes. While some of this stuff about situational awareness isn't half bad, self defense is entirely too complicated to learn from an article online.

Funny, the first pieces of advice seemed good! As for getting behind them, often attackers stumble, over-rotate, etc. so getting off of their centerline isn’t bad advice. Also, striking at their knees with a bat/stick isn’t crazy advice if you don’t want to be charged with murder or attempted murder (which is likely in many states if you swing at and successfully bash their head in with a “Mario pipe” lol). Hey Seth, any thoughts on the magic show the NK army put on yesterday? Can you talk a little about how these breaking demonstrations are often misleading? I can't always tell when that stuff is real, in my experience it is almost always not and I'd like to know your opinion on this specific example.

Hmm... pipes... maybe one of the references was the manual for Final Fight? Capcom c.1989? Don't forget to replenish your health with turkey! Still, some ok-to-good statements on wiki how; thought that was a nice surprise to see.✌️

Hi Seth. When I film Bella (see our picture to left of comment) she looks at the camera as well.. They know .. Have you ever studied how a cat and other animals move and their postures.. Bella is part Scottish Wildcat and is fast .. great fun training with her.. ... and we go for walks.. that's when I took this photo.. Regards Mark.

Only things that’s helped me from past events where I’ve had to actually defend myself, are less strikes and more slams or slamming body parts into things. I only knew how to wrestle from school and year round tournaments (wrestled for 10 years) the only time I’ve thrown a punch in a “street fight” I broke my hand.

When he was discussing the line about if a person has a weapon, notice how he conveniently left out the rest that clearly said 'run away'.

If you have access to a steel pipe, you're probably in a classic horror game. Therefore, pause it loads to drink health drinks, check your map often, and remember doors are magical portals that enemies cannot physically follow you through. Dog!

If you're in an UNSOLICITED street fight, i.e the random situations you devise in your head, never grapple... the last thing you want to do is be on the floor. Grappling is fine in a controlled environment, not on something you're unfamiliar with, and especially when you don't know what's around you. Distance is key to your wellbeing, grappling is the compromise of this principle. Most situations devised in these examples, are the result of some sort of ambush or surprise, you won't be prepared for it, so don't willingly go down for mallninja grapple time. If you do know how to grapple, use that knowledge and experience to stay off the ground.
