I am visually impaired/legally blind and am a bit confused. If you were that blind (not seeing anything at all) wouldn't you have a cane or dog? And how did she pick up the keys so easily? Yes you hear them fall but usually still have to fumble a little bit to find them.
@trishbarsby2516
@trishbarsby2516 2 жыл бұрын
@2 3 Witn my eyes. Blind does not mean see anything at all. Common misconseption. Most have some sight . That is why most prefer to say visually impaired over blind. Not to be PC but to clarify they have some sight. 80% of "blind" people have some sight. Some are only shadows some is central vision only. 9a certain amout of degree of loss of vision can classify you as blind) Plus adaptive tech is great. Even if I couldn't see the screen there is voice over. But why i clarified "spomeone who can't see at all" like in the video. Most people couldn't tell the difference between a short cane or long cane and their uses. Why some folk won't use a cane.

In quite a number of these the person "defending herself" actually just escalated a situation that wasn't likely to get violent in the first place. And in some she performed several escalating actions, like the whole roommate thing and the bag-bumping incident.

I work in a ”real mans’s job” (AV Engineer to be exact) and I use zip ties every single day. Releasing yourself from a zip tie with hair pin etc. is about as realistic as me stopping Seth’s hook kick with Ki-energy, throwing him down with gotegaeshi and knocking him out with Star Trek nerve pressure. I actually just now tried opening a zip tie with an electrician’s flat head screwdriver using both hands (I did not tie myself up, I’m not that fun) and it took me good five minues to do it even then. Which is why you use sidecutters to open a zip tie. There is reusable zip ties which are easier to open, but I doubt it would work even then. Also they will cut the blood circulation to your hands if tightened enough, for all of the macho men who would simply break the plastic with their enormous muscles. There’s also zip ties of several sizes and strenght, as well as ones made of metal. If you’re bound like that you’re basically fucked.

There's a section of the zip tie that locks it and it looks like a small flap of plastic. By pushing it with an object you alleviate the pressure that is locking it in the current notches... it's just not always practical in a situation like that. More useful if you somehow fucked up putting cables together rather than if you've gotten kidnapped.

The headlock works fine (especially if you turn it into a choke) but they were combining it with a wrist lock which is VERY hard to do and means that the headlock is less effective. Headlocks work best when you are using your other hand to add to the pressure and / or defend yourself from the other persons's efforts to escape.

I'm in construction, I have occasionally had to break all kinds of ties, it is possible that zip ties might be able to be undone with a safety pin. But like you just twist it one way, then the other and and keep doing that till it weakens, especially if it's tied in front of you. I mean straight up if a zip tie is tied in front of you, just break the zip tie.

Troom Troom are hilarious, please continue to laugh at them, it's fun. The 2 moves I liked here, is the knee to the groin, and elbow to the face. About groin attacks, there are some people who are really sensitive in the area, but I've seen some who has balls of steel. Do not count only on groin attack, continue the fight or run away. Same with elbow to the face, very good, but continue, realistically the fight is not over in one strike. Catching the hand and twist it, you got to know how to cause pain, but only an idiot will not use his 2nd hand, and would not use his legs.
@kbanghart
@kbanghart 2 жыл бұрын
The only groin attack I can remember ever practicing in my dojo, besides the obvious knee, is during a "promised fight" where you already have control of the lead hand, change level and then strike with the other hand to the groin. In most situations it's just too easy for the defender just simply turn the hips or pull back.

Like, the elbow obviously is a legit thing, but it's still bs to imagine someone who never did a single day of muay thai in their lives would be able to land a precise and powerful strike like that on a resisting opponent The knee too, if you cant even throw a single punch why would you be able to outwrestle this bigger dude into opening up his groin for a knee?

Another thing. Purse snatchers don’t always work alone. One can get a feel and signal to the other to make a move. Someone tried to mug me and i could see it happening because I one signal and the guy that got signal started diagonally crossing the street to cut me off so I did the same thing and cut him and punked him out. He regrouped with his buddies and started cursing in his native language. Had I let him cut me off, he’d probably make me stop to ask questions while the other two snuck up.

I actually have a big problem with that scene with a knee to the groin. The big problem with it is, it only inflicts pain, and no real damage. And there are a lot of people that only get enraged by pain, and not dulled, especially among the aggressive type. So never ever go for something that only hurts, it will probably just endanger you more. go for stuff that actually damages your opponent, that has an actual physical effect.

@jeremygeorgia4943
@jeremygeorgia4943 Жыл бұрын
The zip-tie thing is a thing, but try doing that with a safety pin (or whatever) in your mouth. A plastic tab is what keeps the tie engaged. If you can loosen that, you can reverse the tie. Often, the tab is tight, though. Your just as likely to poke yourself with a safety pin, if you blindly try to find it, with a pin in your mouth. It takes force. A hairpin or a paperclip is unlikely to do it. It also depends on the tie, too. Some are badly manufactured, and they will be loose. Older ones might be brittle & come loose, too. Others may be a very tight fit, and unless you have something sharp, you're not going to work the tab loose. Sometimes, you can loosen the tab, by pushing the tie in a bit, then pulling it back out - rapidly. (You have to be careful, or you're just going to tighten it more.

I think the idea with the pocket sand is that the mugger is telling you to give him the stuff in your pockets, so he's not on guard by you digging around in your pockets, so you can surprise him by throwing it at his face. Not sure what they expect you to do after pissing him off by ringing his bell, though. Clean groin shots are very similar to livershots in my experience. It doesn't hurt immediately, starts slowly and then gets worse exponentially every other second. And yes, they stop the fight! I forgot my cup for sparring once and caught an inside lowkick that went too high. I tried powering through it.... It did NOT work. I couldn't walk properly for hours, nevermind fight

Plus, even if it doesn't instantly floor a man, their first reaction is going to be to move their hands down there to protect it from additional strikes. If someone is trying to protect their groin, then they're not trying to punch you.

@@ZombiZohm Or they could just ignore the pain and keep attacking you. If some guys get angry enough pain isn't much of a deterrent. "If someone is trying to protect their groin, then they're not trying to punch you." So they could kick you, or tackle you to the ground, punching isn't the only way to inflict violence.

Yes you can shim a zip tie, you can also just break it. Also the one where she kneed the guy in the groin... she needed to shout "that's my bag, I dont know you" first.

The wrist burn thing was a terribly executed center lock, believe it or not. It work really well in mannequin training. No actual wrist locks were performed that day. Zip tie trick is real. Works on most handcuffs too.

If your hands are ziptied in front of you, you can actually just slam your hands down towards your hips and break the plastic. Sort of like board breaking where its incredibly easy to do but only if you commit to following through.

If there is something i have learnt over the years, Simpel is better. Someone getting to close to comfort, just throw your hand at their face, dont even need to hit, he will pull back his face and get a bit out of balance and you just run away. You are just using their reflects to get away. Someone graps you? pull towards where his fingers are closing, it's a weak spot, if you got 1 hand free, pull his finger backwards, and Run away. Simple is better. Although a kick to the groan does tend to at least makes it harder to run after someone :D And frying pan to the head is potentially lethal, so dont do that.

I gotta say the throwing something as a distraction really isn't bad, it's a very natural reflex for any person to try and catch things and in that time is definitely perfect to say ring their ears if you can, or maybe just run, idk very situational how it plays out from there but that's pretty solid for just an every day person when you're not Bruce Lee or John Rambo, and an item like change, your phone, wallet, whatever is not as important as your life

I've used it in sparring. Even against opponents who might expect it, the throw if timed correctly can catch them off guard, and lead to openings

Ive never had my wrists ziptied but I have removed zipties like this so I wouldnt waste them. Its not that hard to do but its not as simple as they make it look, and it would be very difficult to do with your mouth especially under stress. If your hands are behind you though that would be impossible.

i'm kind of wondering what the proper way of moving out of a hair pull is. but I think manipulating the opponent's elbow would be a start, not the wrist, (unless you go for a pinky grab to weaken the hold) also replying on the groin shot: I accidentally kicked someone in the balls during a spar, I don't remember what kick I utilized, but i'm pretty sure it was a hook kick. needless to say, he was in pain, kneeling over the floor and I was apologizing since I didn't mean to hit him there. but because when you're sparring and moving, you're more likely to miss the intended location. so it could be pretty effective in a real fight if you land a hit purposely.

The response to someone grabbing your hair, especially like that, is that they have now got one hand tangled in your hair with which they cannot defend themselves. Throw a hook punch to the side they are grabbing your hair with. If it is their right hand side, learn whereabouts the liver is located and practise throwing punches at that height so that if someone grabs you like that you can hit them with a liver shot. They will let go instantly and fold up on themselves because liver shots are a kind of pain you can't prepare for. Or step into them and use your elbow, aim for the cheekbone. Remember that a good elbow strike can cut so be careful around the eyes, unless you feel the situation is dire enough that you have no qualms with potentially maiming them for life. Or if you feel you won't remember any of that or don't want to drill it, just slap them as hard as you can in the ear.

They generally have to reach up or out to grab your hair. With your hand flat, commonly known as knife hand, jab them in their now exposed armpit. It's a soft very sensitive area that is sure to distract them Immediately follow up with punching and kicking, as always. Run away as soon as the opportunity presents itself

I'm such a Tomboy I don't even think I have a nail file in my house lol. I never have lip stick, make up, perfume or any of that stuff in my backpack. I did, however play hockey and baseball for several years, so I may be rough, tough and hard to diaper, but I honestly don't know how to throw someone over my shoulder, or get myself into some of these situations. If someone knocks my knapsack, I just move on. I'm Canadian though, I probably would say sorry, then move on lol. I don't get how some of the women in these 'situations' get the kick or whatever in, then stick around to do something else, the minute I could get free, I'm gone! lol Good video!
