Concise and clear, thx. If you don't want to do a lot re echo/sound quality in your office setup, the one simple thing that makes a ton of difference is a headset. Even $10 in-ear ones are enough to make a recording like this or video meetings more tolerable to the listener.

Thanks, this is very informative! The transcript requires registration to view so I'll leave this excerpt from 5:51 - "And so the idea to equalization, is the equalization should have its gain where the channel has its attenuation, such that when you take the product of these two you end up with a flat gain up to Nyquist, where Nyquist is half your bit rate. Now, in this case you can see that beyond Nyquist we have gain of 0dB, so the in-band gain of this arrangement is in fact equal to the insertion loss. So, you can see that end to end the combination of the channel and the equalizer attenuates the signal."

I didn't understand the concept of insertion and equalization concept from 5:05 of the circuit diagram. Why RL? Any basics should I learn ?
