In fact, if you recognize his name it's almost certainly because you were negatively affected, and that's such a strange thing in the gaming industry. There are many names that we know: John Romero, Peter Molyneux, Sid Meiers, Hideo Kojima, and in almost every case the reason we know their name in the first place, is because they create incredible universes, wonderful stories, or innovative new genres. However, if you know Sergey Titov's name, it's probably because you think he's a scam artist.

@@Mikko_Hamalainen Dude sergey and his group have multiple different dev team names and studio names... They switch these names trying to make sure people don't figure out who they truly are. Someone did some deep research on all the games and name changes they've made it in conclusion they are all connected making "early access" games just to dip out 1-2 years later and disappear

Infestation had great PVP gameplay, until it was dominated by cheaters and transformed into PTW. I played over 3000 hours.

@@reallycool War Inc was Pay2Win but it was also actually quite fun and a decent F2P shooter. It wasn't nearly as broken as WarZ and the small benefits the paid weapons gave you were not that amazing. I remember they gave u like a 100 round C-Mag instead of a 30 round magazine or your gun did 105 damage versus 100. I'm not here to defend them because at the end of the day, I've been burned by these games and ones like them tonnes of times.

War Z was the most memorable game I've played. Not by the game itself, but the memories and the people I used to play with. It was one of the best epoch of my life and I miss those old days playing. Sergey's ego made him blind, because War Z had a big potential, and a lot of games who came after it's clearly based on War Z mechanics and ideas. Rust, Tarkov, H1Z1 (rip too), PUBG (this one has a lot of references), and so on. The biggest error on my opinion, is that Sergey just wanted the money, and I think the money is consequent to a good work. By the way, I really miss the feel I had when playing War Z. Good video tought.

@@allthis701 I had both DayZ and WarZ, like most interested in that genre. WarZ was the GOAT. Best gaming time of my life lol. It was more arcade style and less survival which made the game more fun. You had 5 characters and could kit them out, log them out in the pvp zones and then you go in for a raid. If one dies, you login to your next. Loot was actually valuable. There were many markets where common PVP guns would sell for $3-5 USD PER GUN! It was in-sane. On that note, looting actually mattered because one, you could sell things for a decent price, often leaving a raid with over $40 USD worth of loot, or losing heaps. It was the adrenaline and gamble and TRUE high stakes that made The WARZ unique and something I'm yet to see replicated. I'm 32 now, so my golden gaming days are gone, but the Warz, despite it's game bugs and other issues was a true masterpiece. The reason it died was due to cheaters. The devs actually did some decent work to combat cheaters with multiple anti-cheat technologies (almost pioneering in some ways) but it wasn't enough. People from developing nations got wind of the lucrative amount of money you could make and the cheaters soon followed, wiping PVP zones and selling their loot on their real world sites...then killing the same people they sold to. The game died after 6+ months of this cycle trying to avoid cheaters and everyone left, then it got sold to a new company and they branded it The New Z. I think it still has a decent player base but nothing like it was.

yes, sad things I love WarZ/Infestation and Shattered Skies love to loot, trade and pvp sad all the game got shutdown, and I think it will happen again, I got banned from their discord cause I ask what ppl are developing it, who is in charge and why we should buy a game without any gameplay video from a page that got images from aftermath, I dont trust them womn happen a 3 time

I see many mechanics from Titov's previous titles that seem to be present in Escape From Tarkov. This crushes my hopes for the future state of this game :(

There's a lot of similarities, including the pricing and package scheme. Sergey Titov spent a lot of time defending this as 'not pay to win,' even though it obviously is a pay-to-win macrotransaction. Battlestate is from Saint Petersburg, so there's the Russia connection as well. I don't have any evidence he's involved, but I wouldn't be surprised either.

@@MetalgearX878 I've played Escape from Tarkov for years and if he's connected (Which I HIGHLY doubt) then he redeemed himself in the end. Escape from Tarkov is an amazing game, but very very hard game. It might have the same setup as buying tiers for space, but that's where it ends. And those extra tiers can be gotten in game by crafting your hideout so you don't have to purchase it to get more space. But anyways, EFT is a great game and very in-depth. Don't worry, it's nothing like Sergey's crap.

No one really understands how fucking good prime warz was. One of the greatest gaming experiences of all time, would love to do it one more time. Shattered skies i thought was pretty good too.

I don't pre-order games. But I was a sucker who pre-ordered expensive edition of War Z. After a hour of playing it it became clear that it's a bad game and I've never launched it again. So yeah, I know the name. But the way, if I remember correctly he had a GDC talk about War Z.

Of course. The atmosphere, the new mechanics gameplay (even tho it wasn’t original), the friends I made back then (We still talk after 7-8 years and we’re all grown up), the community (Brazilians and Portuguese were very passionate about this game), the PVP, the happiness when you found the most common sniper in the game (I remember it was the Blaser haha) the fear when you joined a low player server and thought you’d still meet them somewhere around Clearview because it was the most popular town in the game and MANY MANY more… Damn I miss the old days. If I look back now, the game was somehow trash, the devs ruined it and we never got what we were promised that we’d get in the game but that didn’t even matter. It was about the fun you had while playing with your friends.

NewZ isnt actually owned by sergei, its a fan creation from the leaked source by fredaikis. though sergey gets 50% of profit (allegedly) fredaikis has 100% freedom over the game

Copied actually.... Fred was a cheat maker for the original warz and decided to copy paste the game and emulate it into a illegal copy of the game. He made enough off of poor people to buy the title and now the game is even worse then it was before

WarZ and Shattered Skies were fun games TBH. WarZ died because of cheaters, and they could do anything, Fly, no clip, teleport as well as the normal AImbot etc. Shattered Skies, I miss that game, fighting over reactor for the best loot, leveling up your gear to get the advantage. It was a more polished WarZ set in the future with more mechanics. When they shutdown Shattered Skies i was soo Sad.

Warz was the best worst game ever and the reason I bought my first gaming pc. There's nothing else really like it and Tarkov is as close as I've been able to get.

I consider WarZ to be the best worst game that ever existed. Looked like shit, had tons of bugs, crashes, yet I played it for like 1500 hours. The arcade gunplay was quite fun to me at the time, the memories i made whilst playing with my friends were awesome and no game has even come close to that. Partly because I played it in 2012 when I was like 13 and saw everything through rose tinted glasses.

Yeah Sergey titov just only brings our shitty games. I mean warz was actually fun at the first few months like at the beginning where you could only find some less guns item shop only gave u granola bars and some other food then he brought in the shop guns armor meds all other shit so it became pay to win then were a hole bunch people who payed a lot then came Hacker and I mean a lot hackers like almost every second one the game sucked then nobody wanted to play it then they brought out Infestation survivor stories because normal people cloned the actual game called in Deadz, or infestation Newz and all those clones were better then the actual game so no wonder that they took it down. Fun fact the clones had a better anti cheat then the real one

Did you know that Big Rigs' engine was used by Riot Games to make League of Legends? It was so bad with minions flying all over the place that they had to hire Sergey Titov to make sense of fthe engine lol. Yes, that is why League is so buggy lol

Sergey might be a cash grab, but the war z and at some point war inc were Masterpieces, no other team has Made a game that felt so realistic without being realistic, so fun without that being the purpose,the Game was meant to fail but instead it worked in a particular way that it was perfect, I do understand people hating on it because the game was trash, full of Bugs and broken and still would play this crap before any other Game on the market to this day, videogames just don't call My attention anymore yet warz did and doed

What you see as the worst game developer of all time I see as one of the greatest. If he didnt fail the way he did. He would've never done anything. I see a man who keeps trying even when the whole world is against him. I played warz/infestation and it was great fun. Then they removed punkbuster and fred flooded the game with cheaters, the man who killed the game now runs it and sergey keeps on keeping on. I actually have huge respect for him, imagine going through all that shit. The game was great and I hope he made enough money to deal with the hate for the rest of his life.

I don't see a may who is trying to make a good game i see a man who is trying to find a cheap pay day scam so he doesn't have to go get a legitimate job. If he would actually care about the games his name has been associated with hate him self for being such a dirt bag get his act together and make a good game that will change his image. Then i would say your admiration of him is justifiable. But he CAN'T stop being a shitty human being he doesn't know how to make money other than through scams is a pathalogical liar. he deserves jail time to be honest along with the people that aid in his scams. After looking at your profile your obviously one of his scamming supporters. No decent human being would say anything about him is admirable.

When multiple developers from all over the industry have gone on record saying his games are utter trash and an embarrassment to the industry as a whole it speaks for his character as a dev. And given the years that have gone by and nothing has changed with his practice to actively seek cheap pay day scams. He set the bar so Damn low it is with all the chinese console knock offs. When fallout 76 (yes i said it)and Anthem is better than every game he has released to date (and will ever release because he cant stop being a shitty person). Need i say more?

WarZ was awesome bro. It was not so bad, the staff fucked the game I loved. I played from the release to the servers shutdown. After this I played some emulators but now it's completely dead.
