Just did my break in service. Owned the tractor about a month,and I love her. She is my first tractor and I'm starting to really get the hang of her.. The quick connect does really need attention as you will have troubles changing implements. Her name is Abigail. I asked my granddaughter if she would be offended if I named my tractor after her and this is what she said. Oh yes Papa, you can name everything Abigail. So far I have a tractor, a bear and a tree named Abigail. Great video

I have an NX4510 I purchased about a year ago. I think the service basics are about the same. I was most interested in changing the fuel filter which I have not done yet. You made it sound pretty simple, so I think maybe I'll do that today. Thanks, Marshall!

Great rundown, the best I've seen for my rookie interest in a basic overview (besides all the detailed specs which I already compared). Kioti is slowly getting my attention over Kubota. It's between these two tractors!

Video says Fluid in Front Axle is for break in. That surprised me because based on my manual you don't have to change front axle fluid until 400 hours. So I went directly to Kioti (not a dealer) with this question and they said the Front Axle Fluid is not for break in and doesn't need to be changed until 400 hours. You can use either Gear Oil or Transmission Fluid, but neither is recommended over the other by Kioti. They did say in colder climates people tend to stay with the Transmission fluid and in warmer climates people tend to use Gear Oil, but either is fine. Since they sell Mahindra maybe their front axle fluid is for break in, but not on the Kioti.

The comments on the fuel filter are misleading and caused me to chase what was the 'closed' valve position- vertical or horizontal. The valve being turned 'on and off' is not a valve, but a screw in 'air plug' (per the owners manual page 7-34) or the 'bleed screw' (factory service manual page 3-51). You unscrew it and use the primer pump on top of the unit to expel air and fill with fuel. You then screw close the air plug. Mine either vibrated loose or was improperly commissioned at the shop, as mine was loose. Hope this helps.

Don't forget the brake pedal lubrication. My brake pedal won't release the brakes. There is a zert at the pivot. Also the zert behind the front axle on the front driveshaft.

Good info. DIdn't know about the grease fitting on the front axle or how to change the fuel filter (tips) before watching this.

We have a CK 4010 HST and I find i have to press the brake pedal really hard in order for the starter to engage. I am thinking the nuetral safety switch needs a bit of an adjustment. Where would i find that?

I don't suppose you'd do a video like this for the DK 55?? I am getting very frustrated with very basic things and have a hard time finding stuff online (manual diagrams are pretty useless since they don't orient you to WHERE in the engine things are).

Our 2610 has had issues with fuel system since we got it. I’ve changed the filter and the fuel pump and it still sporadically shuts down when doing even light work. One thing I noticed when changing the filter was the primer pump on top is getting sucked down when the tractor runs prior to it dying. Any suggestions?

How about showing how to remove/service battery on a DK5310E hst. Does the battery drop down or do you remove it from the top.

Thanks for the video...You said the front axle oil is break-in fluid. At what hours do we dump it and change ? Also ,mine is low right from the dealer,what kind of fluid or should I add? My dealer is clueless. PS there are two front axle pivot zerk fittings, a front and a rear located on either side of the axle.

Your recording device has a light on it, turn it on, nobody can see what you're talking about under the hood. Also point to/touch each part you're talking about.

I just read the CK10 Kioti manual and it says not to add a diesel fuel additive (and that it can void the warranty).

You spent a lot of time of the fluids and tools in the beginning but then on the tractor itself you zipped through quickly PLUS MY GOSH...Get a drop light or something! I couldn't hardly see a thing. I am a widow trying to learn some self care and I thought this video would help me a lot more. It didn't do NEAR what I'd hoped. Perhaps you can do a REMAKE sometime WITH better lighting...plus I was married to a mechanic, I'm not one. So while I understand filters, and a bit about grease (zerk) fittings I don't deal with them everyday. Hey...how about putting some of those props on a table so you don't have to bend up and down so much? I recorded this and will watch again and maybe will get more out of it. It was a great idea and worthy of a re-do update.
