Hello everybody! Today's video is all about setting up a Hutch! I show you the process of setting the hutch up step by step and go through everything you need!!

I've kept GUINEAS all my life & am 45yrs old. I ADORE my 4 GUINEAS a I have chronic pain re so therapeutic for me! Obvs they adore cuddles and grooms aswell,so it works grt for us all! But I have to say no matter what I know re GUINEAS I'm always thrilled to learn more & more! Your vid was abs exc,ext well done! I'm a huge fan of large as poss hutches/runs etc....so good on you! In fact you've made me want a rose cottage for my GUINEAS! I do have a wonderful hand made hutch for my GUINEAS it's lovely & 5ft x2 tiered,prob is the depth is only 2ft,so not quite deep enough to for my liking,then the ramp takes up room aswell! So I'm pretty sure I'll get either rosewood cottage or the bluebell frm petsathome soon .My rabbits love their hutches which are those 2!!! They're huge palaces for rabbits & GUINEAS so perfect! Just wondered have u ever heard of or used "VET BED?" I've been rec it by a friend who's a Guinea breeder. Many thanks ,once again superb vids! Faye 🐹😍🐹

I have the exact same woodshavings!! sometimes i get splinters as i have sensitive skin but it works perfectly to absorb their pee so it works well! 🥰

+Hamster Horsesandcats it's not going perfectly as the hutch I ordered was a perfect size 20 square foot but then they said we had to wait a month as it is out of stock but I am getting a smaller hutch but I'm going to DIY add a run to make it bigger then the 20 square foot! It is comming today and I'm getting my pigs on Monday hopefully :)

My summer house has water based paint covered over the wood is this ok? Is it harmful for the pigs?(pine wood but I believe that doesn’t matter as it’s the dust that irritates them)

I have this same hutch and I keep it in my back yard.I have 5 guinea pigs in the hutch but when I want to put them in their run they have a tendency to jump out of the hutch.it scares me a lot. I was wondering if I put cardboard in the doors if it’s dangerous for them or not? Just so I can get them out without them jumping out

Honestly it’s not that hard! We have had three for around 6 months now! As long as you take advise, have lots of time and a big enough budget you will be fine! 💕

I much prefer the 70D but honestly unless you want to do serious photography or filming and understand all the functions and settings then its the option, however if you just want something that will take amazing photos and great filming quality then the 700D is perfectly fine. Honestly the 700D is really good, the 70D is just even better aha - but you pay for it, as its a lot more expensive!! x

Carefresh is a great substrate but can add up to be quite expensive😊

I like carefresh bedding but dust free woodshaving i find is better because it is alot more absorbant then carefresh bedding and if the woodhsving is dust free it is better then carefresh and alot less expensive and also is better for your piggies

Line the ramp with fleece or a folded blanket, it will much more comfortable for them to walk up this way and they love fleece

Also I know you mentioned that you were on a tight budget a lot if you brought those guinea pigs inside and set up a C&c grid cage it would be a lot more cheaper and you could sell your Hutch and that and they could be having a lot better of a home again I don't know what situation you are having I can tell you are pretty young

No it is very unsafe because of the harmful dust and chemicals that were used to treat it

hi_ryguy10 Ok, thanks! I don't currently have g - pigs but I do have hamsters and it's not safe for them because of a whole bunch of reasons, so I just wondered. What if they're chemical and dust free? Would that make a difference?

Omg why don’t you have more followers, you should have a million. Your videos are so good and you were on out of 3 people that convinced me to get five guinea pigs. I got my guinea pigs I am going to get a hut like you for my girls (I have 2) the boys have a huge cage the girls have an ok size cage but I want them to have a big space. Would it be ok to keep them in there and give them free time every single day? For at least an hour they would also have a add part the Midwest cage is that ok?

Hamster 100% for easiness and guinea pigs are very friendly but Syrian hamsters can be just as friendly :) x

NAT I NEED SOME HELP :) my mum won't let me get 2 Guinea pigs I have been watching videos on how to persuade her and she still won't let me :( I'm only 11 and saved £150 and offered to adopt 2 and buy the same hutch as you and she said no :( I need some help and I would love your advice ( by the way I have 4 hamsters but that is not the issue) she said they make to much noise and they smell :/ I have done lots of research :| but she still won't let me get 2 ! Please help nat :)

My Guinea pigs barely squeak at all too and I have 2. If they do its not that loud anyway. They do smell, but if you spot clean their cage multiple times a day and take out the trash regularly the room you keep them in won't smell that bad. But never use candles or air freshener in the same room as them because their lungs are sensitive.

Hamsters and dogs I have 2 guinea pigs they don't make that much noise unless they see you ( that's what mine do ) they don't smell but if you don't clean them then obviously they will smell

Truffle isn't litter trained and SUCH a mess!! Having fleece is high maintenance as you have to constantly keep it dry, with Minstrel this was fine because she was very well litter trained but I tried it with truffle and it was a nightmare :P x

My nan has a piggie and he lives in a hutch. (Yes he is a single guinea pig he might be getting a companion thanks to me ^×^) Anyway, he never goes onto his second floor anymore. Is it just because he is to lazy? Or something else.

My grandma piggies (used to be my grandma's 😇) did the same, I think it is that he or she is not used to Climbing, to learn them is put a treat On the stairs (every 2 steps or so) and hopefully they sould try to go up
