Btw, since I see some comments mentioning this, everything I discussed is presented in the description of the first book! It's only the inciting incident and yes, a lot happens in the beginning of the book but since the publishers themselves lay it all out on the jacket I do not consider that a spoiler. Unless I missed something in editing, I would never spoil you guys without a warning first! 😅

I'm on book 2 atm and really excited. I think about the anime Inuyasha a lot while reading it, and I think of Shippo (one of the characters from Inuyasha because he was a kitsune, too)

Ooh yes, that's a great anime too. Although from what I remember it focuses a lot more on the romance? I feel like shadow of the fox is lighter on that subject.

@@IasminaEdina Maybe a little. Inuyasha felt like a super slow burn to me, focusing way more on the Shikon Jewel and the main antagonist than the romance between Inuysha/Kagome/Kikyo, but I think in all of the seasons they did a pretty good job with the ratio with a somewhat satisfying ending. I'm just really excited with all of the lore in these novels and shows.

@@mindymaddness totally, I'm a sucker for this type of lore too. It's been about 10 years since I've last seen an Inuyasha episode though and for some reason I mainly remember romantic scenes lol, so don't mind me and my weird memory.

Read these new releases => Road to Seraphin (by I.B.Pilan), The Tower of Nero (By Rick Riordan) and The Blade Between (By Sam J. Miller) I recommend them. All three surprised me a lot.
