srry if you already found this out but about Big Mom, it’s likely spelled like that in the sub because in Japanese there’s this ‘a’ sound that’s used to spell the word mom transliterated. Like idk how to explain but it comes from マム(まむ/mamu). sounds more like ‘mom’ if you ask me. Not that big deal anyway just want you to know :D

I think the only bits of padding in the Marineford arc are Buggy shenanigans, Hancock daydreams and the many reaction shots. So the pacing is pretty good.

Marineford is double the length of what it should be. It's 33 episodes (31 chapters) long when it should only be about 16 episodes. So the pacing is actually terrible. It's just that the story is so good that it's not as noticeable.

The big mam thing is a translation mistake. The characters are clearly pronouncing "big mom" and it will make more sense when you hear more about her as a character. The anime will at some point change it to big mom and try to forget the silly mistake. :)

@jent watches one piece 8:03 You are one of like 4 reactors I saw that even remotely mentioned Mantra, not only that, but the way Coby describes it as disappearing voices is NEARLY identical to how Aisa described sensing the deaths in Skypeia. its NEVER stated outright in the series anywhere, but Oda in an interview confirmed that Mantra is just their name for Observation Haki. Basically Skypeia was a sneaky introduction to Haki.

So we have an emperor down (WhiteBeard), we have a warlord down (Morria), (Sengoku) is likely going to have to go into retirement after calling off the war. Lets make a guess as to who will fill in their giant shoes. With Kobe hearing voices go out, you are right, that is the same thing that happened to that one young girl on skypea, Asia. Also, Fuck Akainu for almost killing Kobe, seems like there is a big division on what some of the Navy consider to be "Justice". What is with Mihawk walking away as soon as Shanks arrives, is he afraid of Shanks? Fair enough given with what we just saw an Emperor can do.

Just a suggestion but you should stop wearing that tight hat, ik its a tradition but all that tugging its really not good for your hair.. I've been growing out my hair for over 2 years and the one thing you'll notice is that your hair gets weaker and falls out easier as it gets longer unless you are absolutely rigorous with your hair maintenance, just my two cents hope you don't take it the wrong way

Thank you, haha, but I mostly just rest it atop my head in most videos, and once every couple weeks I’ll put it on fully for about one minute - if it was an actual hat I wore properly then I’d be worried but I really don’t. But I appreciate the concern!
