most of asian are nice, that probably comes from their philosofy and religion that focuses on respect of any living antity. contrary to the rest of the world with respect to their idoles and gods etc. question, please can we learn at age 40 these beautiful movements of martial art and wisedome ? thank you master and participants .

pokemon zorro True words and yes you definetely can. But you have to make sure to take a step back and give your body and mind time to adjust. It's not about certain results you reach in a short amount of time, it's about enjoying the path of training regardless how far and fast you come. Doing what you can do with full concentration :)

tiho3001 nah nah nah, Chinese martial arts training is quite different to western athletics. One of the favourite training regimes used in martial arts temples is running up and down a bunch of stairs on a mountain several times a day back and forth from various lessons & training compounds (high altitude). Very different to running - it's elevation vs body weight, and the joints + ligaments go through a wider range of motion with less impact on stairs.

This body stems from an entire lifetime of Qigong practice. I just watched a documentary on Qigong and it showed a 91 years old practitioner walking from behind and you would never ever believe this man's age from his posture. He would put most 20 year old now to shame the way he carried himself. This muscle comes from continuing education throughout a lifetime, not from simply going to the gym I'm afraid. If this man was to grab you, it would blow your mind at how strong he was and the beauty of Qigong is that you will get stronger as you age not old and flabby and weak as is expected in western society.........awesome stuff

There are three main benefits from the motions after each hard set: 1. Circulation, pull lactic and deoxygenated blood out of the muscles, and push good blood in; 2. Rebalance pressure in all capillaries 3. Stretch muscles, tendons and ligaments to retain full range of motion (so you don't get the stiffness and tightness common to bodybuilders)

I compete in professional calisthenics, I train bodyweight only exercises other than for legs I do squat with barbel for strength purpose and I use weighted vests. I am 5'9 in height and weight 165lbs at 8% body year round, I am shredded and have great muscle definition, muscle bellies and insertions (some is genetics) all from bodyweight training. Calisthenics gives you the power over your own body whilst gaining great muscle as a bonus.

Yes, but at the end of the day they are just show muscles. Most bodybuilders are weak af and just pump light weight several times. But if you want to actually have the engine behind the model then you need heavy weights

@jakeydudey101

Interestingly my left arm is the same. I tore my left medial triceps head attempting a one arm chin up eccentric, which I obviously was not ready for! It tore when I left go of my other hand at the very top of the movement. End result is that I now have less mass on the left arm and occasional tendinitis!

Rotator cuffs been bothering me for years despite rehab exercises, just feels unstable and have to consciously readjust my shoulder placement when doing strenuous activity. Definitely gonna give this a shot. PS: Noticed the knuckle pushups target the smaller knuckles (pinky, ring, middle) and clenching strength, instead of how I was taught long ago to target the two biggest knuckles and the wrist strength. Seems much more useful since it sucks to miss with your 2 big knuckles and end up breaking your smaller ones.

I don't juice and I'm way more chiseled than him. I think you're confusing low body fat% with roids users. This guy is strong and has well developed muscles, but he has a decent amount of body fat which makes him less shapley.

There are alot of natural body builders that are huge like a roid user. Only difference is the time it takes to get that big. Steroids speed up the healing process so they can workout everyday and hit the same muscle groups. Natural builders take a day off from muscle groups to let them heal and workout other groups while healing. The biggest guy in your gym might not use steroids. You can't tell just by looking at someone. Little guys use steroids too and don't workout as much so they don't get as big
