For the first move you are presenting, I was thinking that someone's head is a lot more tough than your the tiny bones in your hand. Not sure if it's worth it, but it's just my general logic... might be effective though with tactical gloves, or metal wristband

Find a good teacher and learn hands on self defence . Develop your balance , build up your strength and learn to make your fighting moves a reflex . ( like a cat ) My teacher was the Late Master Ting Fong Wong of The Golden Dragon Fighting Society . His teachings saved my life in many street fights , many times in my 60 years.

Sorry Jake for saying it. But 1,2,3 does not work in real fight. 1, 2 would work like block and attack simeatulnsey. We know that both. Unless you know nothing about fighting... but generally I hope you do. Show some more realistic movement's for real street fights. Not only for some random youtube views. Lol, regular people trying to use this will get hurt. 1. A person trying to rob you try to fight you will normally have done it plenty of times before. Jake is even bigger than the "mugger". 2. A normal thug would not hit someone with that weird right hook. 3 A normal thug would react more aggressive. 4. That choke grip looks phony. 5. Those hits would damage your own hand more than the opponent. 6. What thug would lay their hand on the shoulder of his victim and hold it there? Learn ju jitsu, boxing or muay thai where you train full contact and live. Not fake mantis, crane, eagle and crane.

Christian .H This isn't about showing only straightforward practical techniques it's about showing techniques from kung fu to show how they would apply in a self defence situation.
@ImAlphaBro
@ImAlphaBro 6 жыл бұрын
Christian .H for instance the first technique he shows I would personally do a muay Thai style cover for the hook then I could go to strike the head these are techniques that are in many martial arts styles it's just the way the technique is applied that is different. He is showing you a kung fu perspective if you used a muay Thai cover you wouldn't be able to easily strike the bicep you see these techniques are designed to break your opponent down in the fastest easiest way. Everything works in conjunction.

@andydrums4333
@andydrums4333 6 жыл бұрын
Christian .H even Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai, even MMA can not be used THAT effectively in the streets because these are mainly combat sports and have a definite set of rules, which are not applicable in real-life situations. Now don't get me wrong I'm not trying to say that all these forms are shit, they are actually really good, especially Muay Thai. Krav Maga, the Israeli system of self defense, on the other hand, as a whole system is based on a "no rules" approach. Having studied it closely, I feel that is the best self defense system out there for real life situations!!

Wing Chun vs MMA Who Wins???
@spanishlarc31
@spanishlarc31 6 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately for Wing Chun, once it gets into grappling territory it will fail as most vs videos show. Also, you would need to have a wing chun athlete with some wrestling experience + BJJ training in order for the fight to be worthwhile.

well MMA could feature Wing chun so dumb question. MMA stands for mixed martial arts. mixed means variety. aka all martial arts are allowed in and those that succeed stay. that's MMA. wing chun practitioners have participated in MMA. i won't claim to know records or anything but like most MMA fighters they train in a mixture of martial arts.

@Valkyrie612
@Valkyrie612 5 жыл бұрын
The opponent's left already knocked you out. A much easier and faster response is to use your left arm to lock his arm at the shoulder, then use your hips to circle left and throw, or knee, eye and ear, then throw. Use right hand to pin his left arm to his body, or sweep it (if he punches), spin behind and throw. For the double grab of the neck, there are many possibilities, but the quickest and easiest is a double arm lock, knee to chest/ribs, and double arm throw to either side. Head buts are dangerous to the defender in a real fight, and should be avoided.

You wont block a right hook from someone with fast hands...especially if you're not expecting it!!

I used to catch at the d-1 level. Guys threw low to mid 90s. You absolutely could parry inward our outward (like he did here with hand motion). You don’t know what you’re talking about. And before you say not expecting it, that would be your fault for not determining a threat early enough to have your hands up and ready.

That second move will work really well if your fighting a one armed man. Two arms... he's bringing that left across your jaw. lol. Stop teaching.

I would have pissed myself if he had hit him with a left hook in the first demnstraton after practicing against the right hand

right? i mean leaving your right side open like that whilst you slap their face is asking for the left. total horseshit if he had to fight anyone he would get mauled. Do not recommend.

also im pretty sure block attack simultaniously isnt used for that very reason, some styles have it but practical application................eh.
