He sat there facing Karan's tough questioning ,confidently answered each of them and put up a Brave face despite the fact the Congress party is now in Chaos. I wonder why Karan calls people on the show when he already has all the answers and is more inclined to making his point and then "putting the issue aside" 😊 There is a difference between incisive questioning and insidious interrogation.

I do not agree that L.D.F has done any mistake in the Sabarimala temple issue. It obeyed what the Supreme Court Judgement- Any law abiding Govt will do that . Congress and BJP were on the same side. The voters feared the BJP winning the Trivandrum seat and the minority votes , a major share , went to the congress led front . The principled stand of the left thus got defeated . It is a severe blow to the women voters and the left .

I understand the interviewer and the interviewee are very talented people, so they should have done their homework well. At the end of the interview, I feel that we are not touching the right points. As I said earlier, it could be that, I don't understand the crux and the details of the questions and the answers and they both do. My opinion is majority of people don't vote on these high tech details. It is mostly incumbency, alliances and super hero tactics.

Brilliant conduct of interview. Clean and professional. I would like Mr.Thapar to interview Sonia Gandhi (yes! Not Rahul Gandhi for obvious reasons) and also Amit Shah. True journalism is a crucial part in nation's development as it keeps those charged with governance under scrutiny and holds them accountable for their decisions. Kudos to Dr.Tharoor for accepting what went wrong and offering to perform much needed critical analysis within the party and between the parties for benefit of people of India. (Felt more as a leader and less as a politician)

Karan has been asking pointed questions and presenting facts, while Tharoor although absolutely understands the truth, seems to be living in another world and evades answering anything that'll put an end to his own political career within the Congress. It's a pity that a leader of his stature is hell bent on licking Rahul's boots. On one hand Tharoor readily acknowledges the larger and life persona of Modi, and then seems to correct that since he's scared of the aftermath from his own party. Tharoor doesn't want to admit or acknowledge the poor stature of Rahul as a statesman and that he's a pathetic leader. It's time Tharoor woke up to the reality. A good interview by Karan, as always. Very disappointed with Tharoor's answers, which is quite understandable since he wants to be in the good books of the Gandhi family and somehow wants to be entrusted with power in Delhi. But Tharoor needs to wake up to the fact that, the Nehru-Gandhi clan will keep him away from Delhi, from the seat of power and that's because the Gandhis fear losing their stature within the party, if Tharoor comes in. Tharoor's best bet for his own political career would be to head the Congress party within Kerala, and there would be no looking back for him thereafter; he's a sure shot Kerala CM material.
