This is Loretta Lynn's life story and she did write songs like this, because her husband was unfaithful in the early years of their marriage. If you do watch the movie, her father in the movie is played by Levon Helm( drummer for the group “The Band”), might want to react to his song that was a hit in the late 60s called “The Weight”.

This is a reminder: Don't mess with an old school southern woman. She can just say "sweetheart" and your blood will go cold and "bless your heart" feels just as cutting as a blade.

Watch Coal Miner's Daughter. She wrote most of her songs. Her song Fist City came about after her children's school bus driver told them their daddy was going to divorce their mom & marry her. This song came about after her & Patsy Cline were playing at a fair and she found her husband Doo in back seat of a car. Nothing had happened yet but she wrote that after they all had gotten back on the bus. She's singing it to Patsy & Doo wakes up after having passed out & probably my favorite line from the movie (Doo) where did you the idea for that? (Loretta) glares and just says "I wonder" ... LOL
