Depression is a silent killer and I feel for Shayley. His music speaks to us all! Especially me. Love the way he expresses his true feelings behind the mic and with his lyrics. It's because of singers like him who keep us going through the toughest times of our lives. It's amazing how much pain he has, but even more amazing how that pain transitions to a beautiful, soothing voice... Shay if you see this, just know how much you mean to me and many of us all. You give us hope. Timing means everything, so let that true happiness come to you.

I love Shayley so much. I mean yeah, I didn't know Of Mice & Men when Shay was in it, but he's still the most amazing man I'll probably ever meet (I haven't yet). I have been in a battle with self harm and the lack of my self confidence that when my only rock, my best friend, killed himself, I completely broke down and I couldn't take anymore. Ever since, I've had that battle with self harm and my self confidence went way down. And now listening to all of these bands; Of Mice & Men, Dayshell, Pierce The Veil, Halestorm, Avenged Sevenfold, ect, that have members that have gone through some things I have and now they're better just makes me feel like I'm going to be thankful that I got the bad chapter out of my life. Hearing their songs just lets me know I'll be okay, I've just got to wait it out. I've got to make a new chapter for my life and start writing it down. Seeing this from Shayley and knowing he's okay now, gives me hope that I'll get better.

i wanted to cry honestly, he sounded so vulnerable. i know its not easy with everybody wanting something out of you and if you keep it going you were going to crack. i've been through it, i've seen it play out and its not something i would wish on my worst enemy let alone one of my hero's. its a hard thing to get over. and sometimes you just crack, you have a nervous break down and everyone is looking at you with worry and sympathy and pity and when your in that position already its the last thing you would ever want. so i get where he's coming from. we'll support and love and do whatever we can to help you, Shay. we're a family, and family sticks together. no matter fucking what dude

honestly im in tears after watching this. ive been meaning to watch this video for a few months now, but never got around to it until now. ive always had so much respect for shay, & ive always looked up to him, but those feelings just increased by a lot.

I feel like I'm the one of the only ones who didn't pick a side when it came to the whole 'Shayley VS. Of Mice & Men' ordeal. I still love and support them both just as much as I did before Shay left and I always will. Shayley is a huge inspiration to me for toughing it out as long as he did while also having to deal with personal things. That takes pure courage and strength.

I've been inspired by Shayley ever since he's gone public with music. Listening to anything that he has played or sang has always helped me through the worst of times. I can honestly say that this man has unknowingly saved my life more times than I could ever even express. I still watch this video all the time and ache for him. You don't have to be a rock, Shayley. Coming from a touring musician myself I completely see where your coming from Shay… it’s a totally different life on the road and so many people don’t realize that shit. The depression gets real especially when your sucked into an alcoholic/ drug based lifestyle EVERY SINGLE DAY and that’s the only thing your surrounded by there’s literally no escaping bad choices at every corner. I totally relate to you man and I know exactly where your coming from. You made the right decision on stepping away! I’ve had to make that decision myself and buddy let me tell you it was very hard stepping away from something you truly do love, but sometimes self health is far more important than success in a toxic environment.
