THE ULTIMATE BEGINNERS GUIDE TO BUILDING THE 3 CORE ALIEN FUSED CLAPTON COIL WITH TIPS AND TRICKS. The alien fused clapton is the coil most builders struggle with. This video is my attempt to help make that process easier. I show you step by step how I build the 3 core alien and the tips and tricks that have helped me learn the techniques to master the build. I hope you love this tutorial and that it helps you become a master builder.

Most everything I agree with except fluffing the cotton, (IMO)it reduces it a little and takes out the tight spots, and everyone knows what I mean if you ever take out your used cotton and see a white spot on it still and the rest is dark and the only reason I say this is because I never used to do that, but when I saw a few reviewers doing it I tried it and the taste and saturation was so much better!...lol....One of the best tutorials available for everyone to see....Thanks for the information and instructions, it was great watching you put those together!!! Thumbs up and new subscriber gained!!!!

Interesting video. I've only been building my own coils and making my own juice (self sufficiency woot woot!) for about a year. Never tackled anything harder than a fused clapton, partly because I have kids and have very little free time, but mostly because all these fancy "advanced" coils look insanely difficult. Your tutorial was very informative and enjoyed the lack of BS and attitude. At the end of the day, we're all vapers and all learning as we go...even the so called "pros" of the industry. Thanks again for the video, just subscribed and will definitely take a look at your other tutorials!

Started build it myself recently, it's really satisfying after finishing my first alien.When I getting used to it, I really can't stop myself, i make about 25 pair. I only build fused clapton before, and it's too easy now, i need some challenge, and yeah, after trial and error now I get used building it now. Surprisingly, my friend who own a vape store order a lot alien and fused clapton from me now monthly.

Found some H*H RedDream at a local B&M yesterday.........I had some pretty damn low expectations for this juice but wanted something new. I was fucking blown away!!!!!!!! This is without a doubt my new ADV! If you haven't, go watch S. Hohms review for it and watch until the end! His description is 100% on point. The sweet(not overly)strawberry cream inhale is perfectly rounded out with a very light salty/sweet kettlecorn exhale. Amazing is an understatement! Thank-You so much Mr. Hohms for your review of that juice. If it wasn't for reviewers like yourself, I would've never heard of that juice or the company. Both of which are great and the fact that they support veterans is even better!!

I watch a lot of build videos, And I'd have to say yours is excellent! Just sub'd, can't wait to see more! You make it look so easy to wrap them. I did my best tri-core alien last night. 28 wrapped in 38. But i'm still using lego's to keep the core straight lol. It eats up a lot of time. Would love to be able to just do a full rip of wire in one shot like you do. I still need lots of practice lol.

Finally a build tutorial that gets it right! No need for strumming or fluffing wicks & very good, sharp scissors! *Liked & subbed*

Noe Way haha glad you liked it buddy. People got heated about the strumming and fluffing part.

I have never fluffed a wick in 6 years of rebuilding, if you have sharp scissors you don't need to. It's only if your scissors are blunt that fluffing may help, because blunt scissors cause compressed ends which slow wicking. Clean cuts with sharp scissors never cause compressed ends.

Sherlock Hohms bcos nothing's crazy about fluffing and strumming, You sounded like your making people doing that look stupid. Like what other people say, we have our own ways of doing things. I personally do strum my coils when building it because it helps, I don't care what your method is but for me, it helps, it's not a CRAZY thing to do. Besides, what's the difference of an alien clapton from a clapton aside from it being a CRAZY looking wire? I know right. We do what we like to do, what's easier like you bending your coil leads, i mean, you don't have to do that do you?

Noe Way calm down buddy, no need to get upset, if you feel so strongly about it make your own video about why and how it works. I repeatedly say there is no right or wrong way when it comes to building, It's all about whatever works best for you. My opinions are just that, and I'm allowed to have them. As are you. And I don't have the power to make people look stupid, only they do.

Hahaha not getting upset, if people want to add extra unnecessary steps to their builds that's their choice, likewise if people want to use poor quality tools (like blunt scissors) that's their choice too. @Kirby I don't think SH was making people that strum look stupid at all, he was simply showing that it is not necessary. The problem I have found with strumming is that although it does help, when you go to re-wick your coils are almost always not heating together & you need to re-adjust the coils (doesn't matter for single coil builds). If you set your build without strumming, there is a very good chance that when you go to re-wick that you won't need to re-adjust the coils, in other words it makes for a more stable build.

Hey man, old school coil builder here, I've recently gotten back into building, I use to build before everyone started using swivels, then I got frustrated enough to quit and I stayed in premade coil land for a while, anyway, I just wanted to tell you, you need to make more tuts, you got the gift to teach, lots of the old s hool cpil tuts are ok, but the talent of being able to teach is missing. Good job, I'm a fan. Also, I did a 3x26 /36 n80 they aren't perfect I have some spaces, but no over wraps, but both coils I got out of it short out and I get no reading. What gives? How do I correct this short? I've also gotten the same short on some framed staples, everything specs out I dont get the short. On those i did 2x26gn80/4x.4×1mm k1 ribbon/36g n80 over, specs out at .09 but mine short, and they look perfect.

Good job. Extra quick tip. Sometimes those claps get tight and won't slide off, so before I remove/cut anything, hold the swivel and spin the drill the opposite direction for a few seconds. Doesn't damage or wonk the clapton, but after a few seconds it'll make the wrap just slip off the core. Used to go nuts trying to decore some clapton that were too tight.
@SherlockHohms
@SherlockHohms 7 жыл бұрын
Doing that compromises the integrity of the de-cored and you can easily loosen it to much which will cause the wrap to not lay right onto the cores. And if its too tight then you're using too much tension wrapping the clapton. when i make claptons I only use enough tension to keep the wire from flopping around (so hardly any). some people use so much tension it actually stretches the clapton wire. and it just hurts your fingers after a while. so if you're having trouble taking core out, easy up on your grip
@Epillon
@Epillon 7 жыл бұрын
Not saying to lay into the drill opposite direction, just a few seconds. Everyone has their own methods I guess, learned that trick from M. Terk at the Twisted Messes booth during World Vape Expo in Miami 16'.. Hasnt failed me in the innumerable aliens I've made, but there's more than one way to skin a cat, so good job.
@SherlockHohms
@SherlockHohms 7 жыл бұрын
Epillon you are absolutely right and I used to do it that way because my Claptons got stuck every single time and I couldn't figure out what was going on. Then I was prepping a huge amount of them once I learned to reverse spin it, hahahaha, and I didn't know I only needed to do it for a second. Every one of them looked like I Claptoned a 24-22 gauge . I couldn't figure out why they wouldn't lay down right when I Alien wrapped them. That was a frustrating month.
@Epillon
@Epillon 7 жыл бұрын
Sherlock Hohms hah, right on man. But your methods obviously work because you have some great looking builds. We're all creatures of habit I guess and once I find a way that works I just stick with it even if there's easier/newer ways. Guess it's a comfort thing, I dunno. But keep up the dope vids man, you're a talented builder, can't wait for you start doing staggerton, fralien, SSFC etc builds, yours look great on Instagram! Build on happy vaping!

Sherlock Hohms took me a while to get this build done properly but now I'm happy with the end result. managed my first quad 28 gauge alien dual coil today. The only variation I cannot do yet is adding a 40g stitch into the equation.
