the really sad part is, when "butterfly" was at the top of the charts, to shifty it probably felt like he went out for a smoke and walked back in like this. decades passed in the blink of an eye. Thats how fast it went. Thats how fast it goes. The decay and horrible tragedy of what drugs can do to you. One day you wake up and you're irrelevant, a nuisance to those around you, you're carrying the weight of a 50 pound gorilla on your back. Too old to ever look back, yet looking straight ahead into the last stop on the train approaching rapidly.. and theres nobody waiting for you to arrive. its lonely and sad.

Shifty's past indulgences are apparent in that he hasn't aged well physically or vocally but quite frankly I'm amazed the guy is still alive. It's a shame, good looking guy back in the day.
