Great quality video as always! That black Shinola looks like a clock with a strap. Watches this size look really odd on wrist unless you are Andre the Giant size.

Good review. The hands on the 47 are disproportionately small. Looks like they're probably using stock hands from smaller watches. Dial looks like many Timex watches out there. Waiting to see Shinola offer watches that actually look higher quality and better designed than Timex, given the prices they're asking.

It was called the Lake Erie Monster I believe. It was like $2,200 or something around there. I wasn't impressed with it when I saw pics of it. It looked very basic overall, but it had a cool dragon design on the case back.

&Ö& Paneristi I'd buy one of their quartz watches for like $200 since I think they look cool, but even with an automatic movement anything near $1000 for a Shinola is nuts to me considering how many other options you have.

&Ö& Paneristi I'd consider that, but surprisingly I've never really liked many of Seiko's watches aesthetically. I kinda like the SKX and a few others, but I just don't have the same feeling about a lot of their watches. I also probably wouldn't go to sell a watch I truly love anyways (not that I absolutely love Shinola). Considering some Shinola watches go for like $200 used, and I like field watches and the looks of the Runwell, I'd at least consider it. I notice you compared it to a Zenith that looks very similar in another comment as well. I'd say that the Shinola does ape its looks, but at least you can get the Shinola used for way less. Gives you the ability to check out the design for a while and switch to a higher quality watch later.

If Shinola made a standard 38-40mm Runwell with a cream dial for under $250 or something I'd buy it. They have the style down, they're almost perfect looking field watches to me. Shinola just needs to price their watches better and work on the size. If you make a cool looking watch, but it's above 40mm for the majority of the styles, I'm not exactly going to be enthusiastic about it. Have an MSRP of like $600-800 and it's just nuts. I'd really love to grab the 36mm cream dial Runwell but it's a "custom" option (basically you can change the strap it comes on is all) and I'd rather not pay a big premium for it.

Next time I am at the outlet I will look. The 41mm wears smaller for sure though.

I bought the 41 mm runwell moonphase at one of their outlets for 250. Very nice watch!
