Today I visit the former Palm Springs home of gay actor and Rock Hudson's close friend, George Nader.
Nader's home was also the site of the first triple homicide in the city of Palm Springs. The victims were Ed and Sophia Friendly and their maid, Francis Williams.
The home, in the upscale celebrity neighborhood of Vista Las Palmas was also previously owned by the founder of Rythm On Ice, George Arnold and millionaire socialite Gregg Sherwood Dodge.

Such grief that greed causes. The housekeeper in an unmarked grave is super sad. As if she was forgotten. From the articles and the videos done about it, at least it brings her to light that she was a victim too. It is so interesting and such a small world that the home was owned by such famous (or infamous) people... Another cool video, Steve and Scott.

This sounds eerily similar to the triple murder that took place in Silver Spring, Maryland when record producer, Lawrence Horn, hired a hitman to kill his ex-wife, their disabled son, and the son's nurse. Horn was convicted and died in prison.

Hi Steve 😊 Loved this video. I watched Scott's and now yours. I love when you two work together. A horrible story, all because of someone's greed. I won't say on here what I think of the "son", and to imagine it's still alive and walking around and living a life like the rest of us, it's sickening. Interesting story and as the old saying goes, money is the root of all evil. Really makes you hope that those who commit these terrible crimes are held accountable when they pass on. It's so weird that no one has been brought to justice in all these years and no leads seem to be had. On a side note. What caught my eye in the beginning was the shot of Dean Martin's former home and I know is deserted now and in need of fixing up. I so wish I was in a position to buy it and restore it to it's former glory and what a great view it has behind the home.

Wow what crazy history! I tried to find some old pics of the house. I found some of George Nader, and now I know why Rock Hudson and he were friends! If you want a good read, Barbra Hutton's bio is good! She inherited the F.W. Woolworth empire, over a billion $ in todays money! Uncut diamonds were given out as party favours at her introduction ball, back during the depression! When she died she had less than $100 left to her name! She was also married to Cary Grant for a while!

George Nader and Mark Lincoln Miller were a couple.They were together a long time until they both passed away.They were both long time friends of Rock Hudson.I read that in the biography of Rock Hudson by Sara Davidson that was written with Rock Hudson’s cooperation.

Now that is an interesting tidbit of trivia Cat Mom! Cary Grant owned a home just a few miles away from George Nader ‘s. It’s such a small world. Especially in Hollywood! 👍

........and they spent most of that marriage shuttling between a house rented from Douglas Fairbanks, Jr in West L A. and an elaborate Palm Springs mansion later lived-in briefly by Ann Miller and where Elizabeth Taylor spent part of her "honeymoon" (not!) to Nicky Hilton, in 1949. Grant bought his long-time desert chalet-style home during his marriage to actress and Andrea Doria survivor, Betsy Drake. She continued living there, off-and-on, after their divorce.

Good information. Accurate. George and Rock did several movie magazine layouts together in the Palm Springs area. I wish that you had showed the "signature" George left in the curbside concrete immediately next to the driveway gate. His name is roughly etched in all in caps. Not exactly Grauman's Chinese Theatre style.
