ABBA''s lead singers Agnetha Faltskog (Blonde) and Frida Lyngstadt (Red head) have incredible voices, but the combination of their voices in harmony was known as the 4th wall, an other worldy sound that trademarked their sound. You can't go wrong wih ABBA. They are my favorite group, and in my opinion, the greatest band ever. Growing up in the '70's, each Album was worthy of days long binging sessions as their sounds evolved. And rhe addition of their distinct Swedish accents was the final sprinkle of that ABBA Magic. I'm 61 now, but to this day feel 16 every time I hear an ABBA song. Keep up the discovery, you will be blown away!

Your also spot on when you say they use the girl voices like instruments. When Benny and Bjorn wrote and arranged the music they knew well the range and style of both Frida and Agnetha and also their magical 3rd voice sound when harmonizing. This tune is one of my top favs and actually here in the US became their biggest selling single, eventually surpassing the #1 worldwide smash hit Dancing Queen.

1:49. You called it right--A very bass heavy, Drum punchy, Funky rhythm was the dominant factor on most of their songs..Combined with the girls beautiful voices recorded "Hot" in the studio and the fun Sweedish-style arrangements, it worked like a new car for 'em every time.

Maybe you were roller skating to it in a past life. Many of us in our 50’s totally remember doing just that!
