We had a 40°c+ day yesterday, Tuesday (104f+ I think)...so would like to swap for a while! Although we did get the most glorious thunderstorm from 6pm to 9pm which cooled things down and gave a fantastic light show. Hope you have a warmer week ahead.

Thanks much for watching this video in La Crosse, WI and commenting ;-) I'm glad to hear you are also interested in finding more tree toppers--they really are a fun, smaller lighted decoration that's easier to store than blow molds. It's best that you didn't get the red/white glasses. It may have been hard water stains, but sometimes they have lost their shine on the paint and that's hard to deal with. Although, if you are just going to display them, I found that I can shine up my duller ice lip pitchers by wiping them with a Pledge or generic furniture wipe cloth. It really worked well and doesn't look smeary on the clear parts. I do put vintage glasses in my dishwasher. I know that's risky, but for many years we've been buying only Finish Max in 1 tablets or Finish Quantum packets. They are the only ones that read on the back, "Protects Glassware from Etching." Quantum is more expensive because it is stronger removing stuck on food. I use an Economy setting on our washer that is quicker and these softer packets work in short cycles. Maybe you are already aware of all that stuff but thought I'd let you know my experience with fading vintage tumblers ;-( I have given up on some of our glasses. The oldest 50's (maybe even 40's?) don't last, but I love the 70's patterned glassware. They are very fun and a little bigger and the paint is pretty tough. That's my experience. So the much older ones, I only use for display. Also, when I change all the ice lip pitchers, after they've been in the laundry room for a year, I run them through an Express cycle with no soap. The Finish Rinse Aid liquid shines them up very nice--no hand washing needed. Well, I should go now! So sweet of you to have some goodies for me too!! :-) TTYL

Then we also like Antique Mall of Rogers and there are 2 others right by them. Thirdly, Anoka MN is great with 4 big shops. Outside the Twin Cities, I like Hutchinson probably the most because they always have some great vintage finds at low prices. There are 3 big malls there.😊 I hope that's a good start for you. I would not assume that all of hers are only $20-$30 each. She could have more rare ones. It's always best to research to find a picture of each one when possible. Yes, that would take a lot of looking, but well worth it so she could hopefully identify it by maker and sometimes when it was made to resemble a movie star/celebrity back then. Here's the link.
