Shop Moving Shenanigans(osha violations included)

Moving a huge shop full of heavy things is a total pain in the butt. I know nobody reads the description but here is the explanation of why we're moving. (coming in a video soon). The shop we were at was a temporary lease until they got approval to build the planned apartment complex. They got approval so we got an eviction notice. We lucked out and found another shop right away. So now we can take time to move instead of all the other times we've had to move it has been right now quick. So we are moving and upgrading the new shop as we go. Please stick with us through all this chaos and watch us making the most out of the situation we have. Folks in my area - including 911 dispatchers - still reference "the rotary" from time to time. The rotary hasn't existed since 1995 when the highway was completely rebuilt and became a series of signalized intersections in no way resembling the giant traffic circle that once existed.

We've had to move our shop twice due to the property owner selling out from under us. The first time we were able to find a suitable building rather quick but it was not an automotive shop so it required extensive renovations to basically the entire building including upgrading the power to 3 phase and increase in natural gas supply. Then our second location had the same thing happen and we were not able to find a suitable location. So that shop was consolidated to our other location and the equipment put in storage for almost a year until we were finally able to find a building. Luckily that building was already set up for automotive repair so all we had to do was install the paint booth and frame rack.

Laughing from start to end. You mentioned dying at least twice, lol. I love the ladder on the beam. That's real safe, I'm sure of osha would have no problem with that, lol. Add Bee Exterminator to your resume. To prevent osha violations I strapped my four wheeler to the ladder when I installed my shop lights. 😁 Great video guys.

All three of y’all together reminds me of my firefighter days! I was on a three man crew and we all lived and laughed and sometimes cried together like brothers.. its great to watch and remember the great times I had with my crew fighting wild land fires and all the other calls we ran together

I was painting the stairwell in the main OSHA office Slc.. they ignored my caution tape as I was on an 8ft ladder on the other side of the door. Pushing me off of it... By the time I collected my senses. The culprit was long gone 😂😂

Liking the new shop! Always an adventure when moving anything, let alone big, heavy, important stuff! A lil trapeze practice is good for your mental state too! Gets the blood pumping even more! Not recording is forgiveable! Hope we didn't miss a really fun recovery!!

Can't wait to see the new shop!!😃 Yea Mike I stepped on a ground hornet nest and the nurse in the ER stopped counting when it was over 100 stings.... Needless to say if my neighbor didn't see me laying in driveway I probably wouldn't be here today....

When it comes to hornets and yellowjackets, I use the two fisted approach. I get a can of bee bopper in each hand. I'm allergic, so I figure two cans reduces my chances of getting stung. As far as some of the sketchy uses of ladders and hoists, where I am from we say "a miss is as good as a mile", and of course "no harm, no foul".

Working construction in the '90s we always tied our plugs into the extension cord. There is little worse than having your saw come unplugged and the extension dropping to the ground while working several stories up.

There is something solid about the pace of a k30 with a doubler, big block, and lockers that just warms the heart...I know that you stated that you love Ol' Blue now that it has the upgrades; but man, you can tell that you have no problem taking it out to fetch a broken gx470(which is not a light vehicle) that says you have confidence in the truck...

I hate moving a shop cuz all the tools you need are now somewhere else. You guys made this look fun but I am relieved the move is nearing completion. Hope you can find what you need to finish the job, like your sanity.
