I thought I shot well all day only to realize near the end that many of my Charlies came from upside down USPSA targets. I was wondering why I had such a high Charlie count. Overall, I was pleased with my movement efficiency, but had 2 lapses in vision that made me plug a no-shoot (first slide, last shot, 2nd position) and a Mike + trigger freeze on the classifier.
This match didn’t have many rounds fired, so every mistake was very costly. Def gives me something to consider.
On the positive note, I’ve never shot a pistol outside of 25y and today I got to shoot 2 poppers from 33y to get a CO stage win!

What were hits and time for the classifier (first clip)? Nice shooting!

6.55s, 9A 2C 1M. Guess which shot I missed :). The hesitation cost me 0.5s. And somehow it was still a B class run. Imo, this classifier’s standards are too low compared to the others.

@@vmanshooting haha! I shot this yesterday as well. The stage prior I shot Crossroad Blues with beautiful movement but 0 vision which means terrible hits (2NS 1M). So when I shot this classifier immediately after, I overconfirmed every shot (only 1C) and a tortoise time of 8.27s. This resulted in 2% away from A. I agree, the standards should be higher for this particular classifier

@@vmanshooting yes it was and this match exposed my non-existent vision massively (I was DM-ing you on IG about vision the other day) It’s partly a speed perception issue for me. 6 of the 8 stages that were C & B class runs, had little to no vision but the speed/pace felt how I wanted it to The 2 classifiers that were both 2% away from A? Highly prioritized vision, but Jesus it felt slowwwww. Do you experience anything similar to this phenomena? I need to redefine what “good” shooting feels, sounds, and looks like. As well as develop my vision

@@EzraLopezUSPSA yeah, I feel it whenever I’m improving. The last match (not this one), I shot my sights and felt like I was going at an ok speed. I focused more on foot speed than shooting speed. But when I saw the video I was aggressive with the trigger and the hits were there. It’s funny how when you focus on the process vs the results how the results come.
