Nursing student here and I recently started working as a CNA. I graduate in December and everything you said resonated with me. Being a CNA helps you to become familiar with many of the equipment that you will be working with in the future, and also with getting comfortable with patient interactions. I work on a telemetry unit, and didn’t have to get a CNA license as you mentioned. The nurses that I work with are also super supportive and don’t mind me “tailing” then around to get as much hands on as I can. Lol. Nurses Rock!!

Thanks for this, this is exactly my plan. I’ve had a bachelor’s degree for almost 10 years now, and I really need a career change, and health care speaks to me. Since I have NO medical care experience and I won’t be starting nursing school for at least a few years until my kiddos get older and go to school, I figured the CNA option makes a lot of sense.

Nice video 🥰🥰🥳 your video is so cool, honestly CNA is such a difficult test man , really don’t know what to do but I’m never losing hope.🎉🎉

At times it doesn’t matter how hard you study you also need to pray to God for success.

@@MzWendalineRN I have a cousin who never studied much, we studied together but she gives most of her time to her phone than studies after writing the CNA test last month she passed and I failed 😣, I asked her how she did it , just found out she got her help from Mrs Brenda.🎉🎉

I finished my online CNA class about a month now! With the pandemic, they have made adjustments to permit CNAs to work without the licence until they open the state exams again. Some of my classmates got jobs right away which is a huge blessing as there is a great demand. I can't wait to jump into the healthcare workforce after I finish with my very demanding pre-requite classes for the nursing program. I know it will help me be successful in getting into nursing school and also doing well while in nursing school. Thank you for tips and sharing your experience Wendy! Waiting for more videos :)

Wow!! This is awesome news! I am so happy to hear that. This pandemic has closed some doors but has definitely opened up other doors for many. Good luck to you! Keep me posted.

Thank for your advice, I'm a newcomer to United States from the Côte d'Ivoire (West Africa) 6 months ago now. I plan to study nursing, but starting with the CNA, as you did. But i speak French, and my English is not perfect, however i am taking Language lessons to get used to it. I would be very happy to benefit from your advice, as you have already started elsewhere
@MzWendalineRN Жыл бұрын
Don’t worry about the language, you will just have to put in a little more work to make sure that you understand things. As long as you can understand what you are learning, that is all that matters. Good luck to you!!

Okay what do you think of this plan: 1. Complete prerequisites for nursing school 2. Take (and pass) the CNA cert course 3. Get a job as a CNA 4. Apply to nursing school and pass 5. Get a job as an RN is this the order I should do things? Thanks.

I'm doing the same as you, but I'm Taking my CNA certification class this summer and then starting my pre-nursing classes in fall (it would be my first semester). Hopefully, after getting into a BSN program.
