When I got red-pilled, I had that optimism that this new perspective would improve situation. RP content is great for self-improvement, and gives us real information on making better choices in who we date. But we need BP information too. I used to think that I was about average(and that may be factually true). But here's the thing, I'm 5'5", bald, sub5 face, and while I'm not overweight, I'm certainly not jacked. This makes me the triple threat of what women DONT want. It also follows that a woman that does show interest in the physical me, is probably not going to be attractive to me.(or she's really only looking for access to what I have). Men absolutely have to stay realistic in your expectations, or you will fall into the same trap that modern women have. Being delusional is not good.

This is more or less my approach. I'm about a 6 facially according to the most brutally honest person I know, but I'm 5'8 and Asian. Rather than competing against chads in the west and giving up, the most rational approach to me is to spend my college years in the gym, studying to land a high-status career, and kpopmaxxing so I can try my luck in my parents' home country once I graduate. Play to your strengths, be realistic, and know when it's over.

I like how diplomatic you were being, but I think we both know why the red pill gurus are so “optimistic”. It’s so they can sell overpriced bootcamps and e-courses to hopeless sub-5s. Me and my brother. Around 18yo, he was probably a 6 while I was a 5. However, this small difference helped him to date sometimes five girls a week while I struggled to find one. Fast forward 10y, add money and social status, SMV for us would be the same, however he still had better looks, still easier for him. And he has learned to play the game, putting girls in that emotional rollercoaster of calling/ghosting, while I'm still the good guy. I would say I’m a 3 or 4 with a very athletic build. Im realistic with my looks I don’t try to over do anything or accessorize to be noticed. In elementary school I learned I was being picked on cause of a poor family. Middle school it was being ugly/overweight and weird. I think a lot of these dating videos ignore something that I think negatively impacts dating. A lack of average women who are not over weight. This increases as you get older. As an "average" guy who runs 20+ miles a week and lifts, I would rather stay single than be with an overweight person.

From my observations, 6/10 is the cutoff point. As in if you cannot reach 6/10 in looks after fully looksmaxxing it's pretty much over for you. At 6/10 is when guys start being treated like actual human beings and are not invisible and auto-rejected. You may still be able to get with extremely unattractive obese women if you are below 6/10 but that's about all you can expect. Geomaxxing could also be an option.

Another point is that chad don't have to do anything, as for me right now after years of trying my best trying to talk with girls, asking if they want to date to be told they have boyfriend 9999 times and learning to accept the frustration and loneliness as part of my life, MR chad had girls chasing him since he was 15 and they keep asking him every day if he's taken. I like your nuanced take (and definitely agree with the concept of having a ceiling), but at the same time, I don't feel like I'm at a stage where I need to give up on optimism for finding an attractive girlfriend (call it delusion if you like). My reason for saying this is that it seems like there's a large lack of evidence on how influential money is: I have never seen a tinder experiment that shows a rich, unattractive guy. The only information I've found involves Dubai royals getting chatted up by IG models- but that's a very extreme example and is also completely unrealistic. I can make £300k annually if I keep pushing though; that number is hard to achieve, and is enough to afford pretty much everything important for having a lifestyle worth showcasing. I can't find good evidence on the dating life of a man who makes that much (and uses it), so I'll keep the optimism and re-evaluate things when I get there. It's also a lot more usable than saying "I need to reach 8/10 in the money area", because how do you decide what 8/10 is? Of course, some would say this is just setting myself up for financial ruin, but who knows- maybe it attracts a mixed bag of women as opposed to purely materialistic ones. Very few people have skin in the game for this type of income, let alone have an opportunity for making it, so I'll trust my own experience and judgement.

You have no idea how accurate you are (I'm someone who has lots of experience with women including being married in the past to a girl) and am trained in a field of study related to your videos. I do think, though, that as you mature and create a warm intimate romantic relationship, your orientation will change to some extent. At that point in time your "research" interests may expand to talking about how to communicate with your partner, how to build/maintain a relationship through various behaviors, and how to protect yourself from the financial consequences of divorce (as we are all aware, 70% of divorces are initiated by women). _You should do another video were you consider body modification options, non-invasive and invasive._ Obviously there is only so much you can do without coming out looking like a plastic ken doll and there's clear hard limitations for say increasing ones height but small changes to ones appearance are possible even if it means wearing makeup or getting some extreme surgeries. Personally I think there's a lot to be gained through things like braces, dental blocks or even jaw surgery. I myself have used eye bag lightening cream to improve my appearance.

I would say if you're a man less than a "10," don't give up, but don't get your hopes up. Unless you find a "unicorn," any woman you date is gonna be using you or abusive or have serious mental illness issues. Even if you're a "10," getting married (or even moving in together) is the equivalent to selling yourself into slavery given the state of divorce law in most states.

One thought for young guys, from an old dog: if you're from a major metro area, consider trying a move to a smaller city or town in a lesser-developed part of your own country. For the US, that would be the South or Midwest. This would be especially possible if you can find a fully-remote job, even one that's not very high-paying by metro area standards. Reasons I suggest this are: -real estate is cheap, so you can rent (or if you decide to stay longer buy) a nice place by local standards -your remote job will pay a good income for the area, and make you seem interesting -on that note, just being "not from around here", and making periodic visits back home to the "big city" will make you more interesting in a place were people usually move away from, not to. You can talk about all the things you've seen and done, in a casual way -even looks can be relative: a 4 in the big city may be a 5 or 6 in the smaller city where life is harder for many. Basically, if you can work from anywhere, try going to a place where your money, status and looks will go further, without having to live overseas and all the hassles that come with that. You would want a city that's well beyond commuting distance of any high-income area--probably 100 miles or more, but good internet is available. Not large, but big enough that there are places to go out and have fun, and everybody doesn't know everybody else. I'd love to hear whether other people think this is worth trying.

To the question of "should you give up on dating?", I'd like to answer that by mentioning something from a book. A character mentions he doesn't want to become a rock star, someone else tells him he doesn't even have the option. My point being is that, given how much trouble even an average man has dating, if you're a guy and only a 2 or 3, you can claim you're giving up on dating but more likely dating gave up on you years ago.

You saved my life. Although I am not stupid and I knew almost that this was the the dating scene when I was ulyoung I needed to be reminded of this in order to validate my opinions in my brain. I am working towards being better like improving my appearance but I am not delusional. We all have a ceiling. Wheat gave me a 4/10 several months ago and I took that in stride because the dude offered constructive criticism. I didn’t get butthurt over it. 1)He critiqued my hair. Got minoxidil and finasteride spray from ForHims. Solid investment. 150 bucks every 3 months. Worth it 2)He said going to the gym was vital for me. Been going. Been putting in the time and also taking in more protein. My body looks better. 3)He also pointed out skin flaws. Went back to for hims and got tretinoin. I think it’s 30 bucks every two months or something like that. Forehead crease is what it is. It’s less noticeable now but the rest of my skin problems are vanishing. 4)Also getting Invisalign to straighten my teeth. With enough work and commitment to these improvements I believe I could push really hard on that 7/10 boundary and maybe even break it. And I should be grateful my genetics gave me this maneuverability and that scalpel was not a requirement for me. EDIT: I would advise against paying a dating guru. A therapist (which I know many of you are STRONGLY against) is still better for you than that because at least with a therapist there is a possibility you will confront the root psychological issues and heal them. I encourage you to look at the 2021 study on the GSS as I noticed with the no sex in one year you used 2018. I think the bigger problem is not just that men don’t try, but women don’t either. Guys keep in mind in a westernised country you may be a 3-4 in looks but in other places you can be a 6 upwards. As a man it's good to always observe and see what gets results not what people say. Always always always remember everyone values results more than effort in most cases and if you don't achieve your goals when you planned to it's extremely unattractive to cry and complain about it instead of analysing what went wrong and not taking accountability and holding yourself responsible. This is a good and balanced representation. If a guy is really sub five and can't get a girlfriend, even if he has a lot of money, then it will be very difficult to gain social status. What group of high status or influential people will want to hang with a guy they perceive to be a loser? You can counteract that a little bit with a great sense of humor and outgoing personality but if you have those two things and money then you will likely not be single to begin with.

Another underrated part of being subpar in looks is during the " pandemic" ppl are more likely to throw a fit if you're not masked at work cos they care so much bout safety ( when it's really that it gives them a reason to not have to see your face )

Im a 1 (2 at a push). I'm 52. Single for years. Tried dating sites etc. Constantly rejected ( called ugly loads of times). I consider myself a 5-6 but the problem and this would be interesting if you dealt with it in one of your videos is about being photogenic or not. I know that if I sent you a picture of me you would give me a 3 because I'm not photogenic or I just don't know how to take good pictures. I think that it is also a serious problem in terms of appearance on dating applications, some bad photos can take away the few or minimal chances of having a possible match and that can also disrupt the appearance scale of that person, considerably lowering their score.
