I used to eat wheat based products regularly (rotis, bread, naan, etc) since childhood and I never had ANY digestive issues at that time. Few years ago after my gut health had become damaged due to overconsumption of antibiotics (which I was prescribed for different health reasons) I noticed that whenever I would consume ANY wheat product I would experience symptoms like bloating, flatulence, digestive discomfort, etc. So if you fix your gut health and gut microbiome by including a healthy dose of pre- and pro-biotics daily for at least a few years minimum (while eating healthy non-processed food) then you will see a HUGE improvement in your ability to digest wheat products and dairy products (your health will improve in every sense). Glutten is not the issue (for most people), your gut microbiome is the root issue. If you are an Indian I would recommend eating a diet that incorporates home-made curd, buttermilk, pallaya sadam (leftover rice fermented overnight in a clay pot) and Kanji (Indian probiotic drink - google it if you don't know it). You can also try sauerkraut, kefir and kimchi if you can make them at home or get them from somewhere. Please avoid apple cider vinegar as I was told by a physician that vinegar is not actually good for consumption (but is being marketed as such). Also avoid other marketed probiotic products like Yakult (there is a lot of research on why this product is not healthy, and also it has a lot of refined sugar in it). Don't fall for these marketing gimmicks. I also take pharmaceutical probiotic supplements like Nutrolin-B Plus (capsules) and Bifilac tablets but please consult a proper medical professional before taking any such supplements as I am not a qualified professional to suggest them to anyone. I take them because they have helped me heal my gut and to the extent of my knowledge they don't have side-effects but please check with a doctor before taking supplements of any kind.

Medical doctors like this chap are one of the primary reasons for poor public health. Be it in India or elsewhere. They hardly get any nutritional education during their medical schooling, and yet how does it become legal for them to say all the nutritional nonsense they want despite the patients not getting any healthier following their dogmatic and agendized dietary advice? Mind you, the mainstream dietitians are also just as bad, if not worse, with their ideological and dogmatic approach. A patient is cured, is a patient lost. Corrupted. Criminal.

Good to see Our DR. Pal here! So hey there, i wanna share that i do have a typical Indian family, you know eat whatever you want type but the change i saw in my family is that after Covid in current situation my parents are more conscious about health and good diet, they're going for morning exercises with plant based diet! And we kids are teens and we do take care of our health with good diet, exercises and much minimum suger intake but sometimes you know we 😅 eat our fav Chinese dishes but its okay cause we make sure that the amount of intake should be = to the calories we burnt so to stay fit and healthy. Good health also means good sleeping habits for good mental health 😌 but studies and coaching won't let us live😢 still we manage. One thing i wanna know why are teens aging faster? Teens of my age are looking like they're at their 20s or something And the answer i have is because of unhealthy diet, no exercise, stress, the quality of air we breath and water we drink and the maybe unhealthy screen timing can affect a lot to our mental health which is not cool at all! And not letting a body grow naturally by taking gym supplements. Yaa trust me guys of class 9th onwards are joining gym and taking unhealthy supplements which is disturbing their natural body growth. I don't know what gonna happen to this generation cause i find most of them are unhealthy and our healthy body is directly proportional to our mental health.Treating your body right can fix many thing. Trust me quitting suger is the good decision i made and this benefited me mentality somehow. This has to be the best year of my life cause from meeting my death to giving life a second chance to live the best of it ... I've lived it fully with much gratitude. Thanks for reading : )

I'm a person with Celiac Disease which is an autoimmune disorder mostly gene linked where a person can't digest Gluten (A protein found in Wheat, Barley and Rye). So yea we've to adopt strict Gluten Free life for lifetime as there's no such cure for this disease as of now and the only cure is to follow strict Gluten Free lifestyle and diet. But now a days peoples like Hipsters are more into Gluten Free diet as a trend or FAD and they've just ruined this Gluten Free term. If you don't have any problem with Gluten viz Celiac disease, Wheat allergy, IBS or Gluten intolerance you should keep eating Wheat or Gluten as it's just a protein and won't affect your body or Gut. just make sure that Maida (which contain only Gluten, no healthy nutrients should be avoided).

I think it is none of this. The modern wheat has undergone lot of modification and mutations since 1950. The ancient wheat varieties (Einkorn and Emmer) are well-tolerated by most people with so called bowel disorders. The molecular structure of gluten and other things in those wheat is also completely different. They are still cultivated and available, but 99% of wheat commercially available today is the modern (bad) wheat which creates all sorts of health issues. I love your videos and I think you are the best person to dig more deeper and do a video on this - modern wheat vs ancient wheat.

When you ask a question which is being answered, it is not a good idea to interrupt. Make a mental note of your intermediate question and wait the person completes answering the question. Thay way they can finish their train of thought.

A bread needs to expire with 3 to 4 days But today in USA breads are given expiry date post 10 to 15 days. Which is not good. With the growth of civilization and technology we should not get engorged in the modern way of making food which cuts the nutrient factor in the food. Ofcourse modern technology can be used to save time for cooking , heating and quick form of purchasing. But I doubt the longer shelf life of breads , frozen flat breads , tortillas etc. how can a flour mixed with water have longer shelf life??? Also I cannot accept the fact that if you need beans like kidney beans , black beans , fish or anything like that , people purchase canned foods. Soaking overnight and cooking them is so easy. Everything has god short cut today and it’s more in USA now. India is progressing towards lots of shortcuts. Their only problem is having too many carbs and low proteins. And portion control is needed along with any kind of physical activity. Everything else will solve itself. We already have gift of variety of pulses , millets and rice and veggies. Just planning the portion of what we eat more will solve all the diabetis Also we need to learn to add bowls of salads from the westerners which I love the most. I love how physically active they keep themselves with some kind of sport they like. Otherwise cooking fresh food 3 times a day from the scratch is something we are already good at👍👍👍

Then what do you guys eat?! Ranveer u said you avoid maida, if rice & wheat also in small portion then what exactly do you eat?! Go to any grocery store 99%biscuits r made of sugar & maida everything that’s affordable for common people is made of sugar,maida & our staple wheat & rice. Millets is costly too!😢
@sns790

Millets aren't costly. Cos we consume it less and feel fuller. And 2 meals a day will suffice. So infact you save a lot!

Yes if you have sensitivity then stop for a while and try to heal gut with more probiotics and then reintroduce gluten again. If the problem persists then stop eating it for may be a year then reintroduce. If it's still there after a year cut it completely. Out of curiosity, do you have any autoimmune disease? Like thyroid

Pure ghee is truly a super food and we must take it in good quantity with one condition. It should not accompany any type of carbohydrate with it. But our problem is we take it with khichadi sabji etc so it becomes harmful instead of Manu Fishel.
