Whoever instructed these kids, deserves an award. I know in parades it’s easy for a band to be relaxed and not care as much. However, these kids kept it up the entire time. Also, the tone quality of the band is pretty good too. So many bands stop caring about performance and only care about showmanship. I’m a fan of this.

I have been watching these kids now on KZfaq for the last few months. They were in my suggestions and I got hooked. As a former High School/College band nerd, myself(😉) and a music teacher for over 25 years, I have to say I’m proud of these kids. I know they don’t know me from Adam, but I’m proud of them. From the videos I’ve been seen posted, these kids work hard; and I’m sure in order to do what they do they also have to keep their school work up to par. This is NOT easy. Trust me, they could be doing a lot worse activities. I pray this experience will take them far after graduation. Kudos to the Band Director and all their leaders!✊🏾

@@craiggrainger8571 well you can always use a marshmallow or two or a few, in your hot chocolate, just like you need whipped cream! Makes it even sweeter, and pretty. Just like you put icing on a cake. I’m used to it, I grew up where we have many ancestries I always say certain parts of la cajun creole, french indien people are like our dark chicory French cafe au lait cafe, some of us just have more steamed milk in us and others may be dark chicory! It just depends but one thing I GUARANTEE we all are Jolie (pretty) people, because we come from a rich variated ancestry. Just like the Yazedi’s in Iraq that Alexander the great and his men married into. We had the tribal people’s first then they married the Spanish them the French came, later the west African and island people came, then more Europeans came in early 1800s from Holland, maybe even sooner. But they named zwolle where we have a lot of Spanish indiens that because the guy that named it is from Holland and that’s his home towns name. In fact some people say they are “dutch cajuns” because they are light and fair. That’s does not mean they aren’t native or la French people, they speak the patois. Just like any other ls French person. The Choctaw tribe speaks French like many tubes cause they fought with French and cajuns against la Bretagne (Brits) so that became the Choctaw French language, creek spoke its, so did my defan papas tribe.

To everyone who mentions the trash in the street, This is Mardi Gras Day in New Orleans. In between each band are floats that throw tons of beads and trinkets to the crowds and some of that stuff ends up in the street including the bags and wrappers they come in. But at the tail end of every parade is a team of 6-8 huge street sweepers that clean all that stuff up so it’s almost like nothing ever happened. Remember that this is the biggest festival in the world.

I would've loved to see and hear this band live. Such great energy. Such great sound, dynamic, tone, clarity. Just amazing for a high school band this size. The pride and knowledge given to these young men and women is what we need more of.

A lot of people overcorrect in marching band in order for their feet to be straight, because our feet naturally go out. It feels unnatural but you get used to it. This is likely the result of just tons of training and muscle memory on their part
