Just before Sikkim underwent a lockdown in 2021, we went on a roadtrip to Sikkim and enjoyed staying and travelling in the gorgeous state which is not exactly on everyone's list but, oh boy, it should be!
The tiny state packs in everything for me, the barren (Ladakh vibes) landscapes of the north, to the green wild east, cultural south and the vibrant capital, Gangtok, in the west.
Glittering glacial lakes, endless pastures, waterfalls at every turn, quiet monastery towns, and scenic drives in Sikkim made it a a trip to remember.
This part(part-1) is the travel from Bangalore to Kalimpong where we halted for the night before continuing the travel to Sikkim. Watch out the space for more videos on the trip.
