Thanks for the review! Really interesting keyboard! One question: do you think it's silent enough to be used in the library? I'm currently using Logitech K380 (it's silent enough because it's low profile) but the typing experience is well, mediocre at best. Thanks!

It looks like you're using a pretty thick usb cable with it @ 6:05, is that right? Is the keyboard lifted at the highest level? I ordered the 75% version and just realized the cable channels are way too small for any larger cables, but if larger cables can fit with the keyboard lifted, that'll be something at least.

Konstantin BIFERT So I have both the NIZ 68 and the HHKB Hybrid Type S. The HHKB feels as if it requires an actuation force of 55 grams. How much smoother do those BKE domes feel? I’m looking on their website and they have light as well as ultra light.

HHKB have topre switches best feel but 1 minus price 2 minus and moust important alt is not close spacebar control is like in old terminal this is nice for me swap capslock place alt position shity as hell and total delete that keyb for me. Coz all who write without looking on keyb like me alweys miss alt button in HHKB. And that price from space is rly overpriced keyb. I know HHKB can swich how work loyaut but still too expensive.

Well, depending on your perspective it's either neither or both. Edit: I realize my comment might not be helpful, but if you are curious to know more I would recommend looking up topre switches.

Ok so we know that these switches are smooth but do they feel at all mushy and if so what could it be compared to for the mushy-ness? Your typical membrane rubber dome keyboard mushy or thick o ring mushy?

I have a 82 version of this keyboard. It is a really nice keyboard. The switches feel like Topre switches found on a hhkb. I would say the difference is that these have a better sound in my opinion. I have both.

@@wh1ck Well it is hard to describe. I have several mechanical keyboards. I have different cherry, gateron, and zealio switches with tactile, linear, and silent. I love all my boards and all of the different feelings they produce while typing. However, my Niz board is probably one of the most satisfying boards to type on as far as feeling and sound. I personally only game on cherry switches. But if I need to type a paper or have some reason to type for a long period, I usually use the Niz board. You can also put custom caps on them as well. However you MUST make sure you get the boards with the normal size spacebar. Some of their models have weird sized spacebars and you can't find custom spacebars for that size. They feel nothing like a regular nasty ass mushy rubberdom. You can also make them extra snappy if you put custom BTX domes but I prefer the stock domes personally

I got denied a lot when reaching out to companies to send me review units in the beginning. That's why I built a portfolio of reviews to have a history for brands to accept me. I purchase whatever products I enjoyed using and do reviews on them first and start there. Then along the way companies will see that and will work with you.

topre knock off are a very different feeling when compared to a normal mech keyboard. this is much more close to a real topre board, very incomparable feeling, even more satisfying to type on than most other prebuilt mechs imo

Ashwin Venkatesh it can vary. Some people don’t like the tactility of blue or any loud switches and find it distracting. Lots of people prefer linear switches for gaming.
