In this one we are back in the shop again on the LT1 engine build. This time around I am installing the last head along with the pushrods and rockers.
For the hydraulic lifter adjustment, I used a newer to me method. I normally use the method of keeping up with which valve is opening and closing. In this one I just adjusted them all to zero lash spun the engine 90 deg and repeated about 15 or 16 times. Then finished with a 1/4 turn of preload.
Has to be the simplest hydraulic lifter adjustment EVER!
Nice to finally have everything starting to go back together on the gen 2 SBC! Looking forward to running the stock block LT1. Should make a nice engine for our budget drag car. World record LT1 350?
