The Simpson Powershot PS4240 pressure washer uses a 12HP Honda GX390 engine with low oil shutdown. This is a high power pressure washer that runs up to 4200 PSI with a 4.0 GPM water flow. That's about as big as you get for a direct-drive model.
It features a AAA Industrial triplex plunger pump with a quick connect pump/hose connection and comes with a 3/8″ x 50′ steel-braided Monster hose.
The included 31″ Steel wand also uses the quick connect and threaded M22 connection. Simpson includes 5 tips including 0°, 15°, 25°, 40° and a soap nozzle.
The pressure washer uses a heavy-duty welded steel construction with a steel axle frame that rides on a pair of 13-inch premium pneumatic tires.
We used it to pressure wash a decent-sized pool cage as well as the decorative concrete flooring surrounding it. It had plenty of power and reach, and worked well with the aluminum extension wand we added to hit the peaks.
Price is premium, but this is truly a top-of-the-line performer. Expect to pay in the neighborhood of $1,100.

the 0 degree tip is for when someone fails to pay you after cleaning their roof. That's really it.. Oh maybe getting very high windows.

What I can honestly say is I bought one of these for an entry level machine, and I've never looked back. This thing is a Godsend. I bought a Teande 2.6 GPM, and it's never left the box. I always believed in having a spare, but the spare is another PS4240-which hasn't been needed, by the way. It's still in the front of the trailer waiting on the other one to die, and that ain't gonna happen anytime soon. This machine will be on all of my units, going forward, once we go bigger. I like the heavy duty ruggedness, plus the wow factor it gets with homeowners who bought the little ones from Home Depot and Lowe's. Not a hitch or an issue. These comments are like reading a "how to" manual. Ya'll are awesome.

0 degree tip is used for cleaning off stubborn concrete stains not big ones but small ones and hard surface metal like steel etc but I also use it for down streaming BUT I use xjet 20xs more than down streaming it’s better in every way in my opinion, but I also use the 0 degree for when I’m pressure washing side walks and drive ways and there is weeds growing through the concrete I use to to blast any roots and plants and weeds away cause it demolishes them then I pre soak with SH and post soak as well and it kills those weeds, also newer pressure washer here but had my business for 4 months making around $10k a month now and got a backlog of a few months so about to start it full time and quit my day job

I’ve always used a 0 tip for a couple different things. I never had a use for a small size under 10 but i use it with steam to melt gum away also a big 0 tip works good for soap down streaming to reach high areas and rinsing. also 0 works good for stoborn wasp and bee and mud in high eves. couldebt do that a good of a job with out it

The zero degree tip is for tuck pointing buildings, easily removes mortar between bricks

Personally I had to use a zero degree nozzle tip when I was cleaning a Baltimore county work truck that apparently they never cleaned in 30 years and it had 2 ft of mud stuck under the undercarriage

I saw a guy once set up a pressure washer using zero tip for water jet cutting. I don't remember now he may have been injecting a little sand at the tip to aid in the cutting.

0 degree can be used to remove chisel marks from rock pitched granite which normally would have to be removed by torch

I just bought the same machine a couple weeks ago. I wanna start my surface wash company. Can I bypass the thermal valve on this model and if yes how? I tried and it shoots out as soon as a start the water. Need help please!

I bought a 4400 PSI Simpson 4.0GPM everytime it starts up on first pull but when i shut it off for a few minutes then it won’t crank back again

Are you releasing the water pressure to restart? If there's pressure on the pump, it can be a real pain to start, especially when hot.

Try turning the water off and press the trigger to get out as much water as you can and then turn the water but on then start it up again

Ugh.🤔🤔 That shouldn't happen. How old is the pressure washer? Sounds to me like something in the valvetrain. Does the engine have a lot of hours on it?

Sounds like a valve or timing issue. I would return it for another one.

might be popping the relief valve at the pump discharge. Maybe relief is set too low or the spring in the valve is wearing out. If you turn the pressure down a but and it stops, I'd say ots the relief

Got a drain out the back and the neighbor has crap that grows over it. Use the 0 degree to "laser cut" it as have no good access for a trimmer or hedge clippers. Also a drain outlet comes from his place into the open drain, so I fire the 0 degree up it to blast out all the crap clogging it. (bad news for any rat, snake in there I guess)
