The question is.. Is this the best Commercial Pressure Washer for the money on Amazon? Well, let's get into that. I'll let you be the judge.
I got this pressure washer off Amazon about 2 years ago. What do I think about it now? Well, at $985 shipped, its tough to beat.

I like to write my date and hours on oil filters. It really shows you take care of your equipment. Good job!

Easiest way I’ve found to keep track of this stuff! Tried paper hang tags with wire hanger for other service records but paper and writing fades. Now I just write on the filter, frame, axle or whatever with paint marker.

Very good information was given and very articulate. With the newer Simson ALH4240, the photo on the Lowes website looks like you have to adjust the pressure from their wand. The Cat pump itself has no pressure regulator that I can see. I would rather have the adjustment at the pump so I can choose what gun I would want if I need a replacment.

Thanks, Glen, for the compliment! I just looked at the ALH4240 (in store model) on the Simpson website and it shows a regular wand with regulator on the pump. Couldn’t find a photo of what you describe.

I am waiting on this exact unit to arrive. I did enjoy your review especially from someone whom has had the unit for 2 years. First thing I need to figure out is how to wash my hardy board house siding with it and not damage anything.

Start with the widest nozzle. It’s a beast and will cut lines into your siding! I did that with old (soft) redwood siding. Hardy board is a lot tougher but still need to be careful. Good luck!

I agree with the other guy great review and should have more lights. I’ve decided on this one as well from Home Depot, I’m in Canada. And I think it will be a good addition to my home with my soft wash nozzles… Basically less pressure for washing things like siding and cars. I like your tips on letting the fuel run out of the carburetor, except I use truefuel so no need for fuel stabilizers or to do that but great idea nonetheless for snow blowers and whatever. Question for you what kind of oil do you use in the pump? And probably same as engine change after first season just to get rid of any metal shavings. Great review thanks again.

Thanks for the compliment! Been a great machine! Used it thisweek twice. Regarding oil, I use manufacturer recommended weight but dont worry to much about brand. Just be sure to change it often to keep it clean.

I used this unit for not even an hour when the AAA pump crapped out on me. Returned it to Lowe's and ordered the ALH4240 with the CAT pump. I certainly hope it lasts longer. Have you had any issues with yours?

None so far but am really careful about priming before starting and running without water flowing. Also changed the oil early after break in. I’ve read a lot of reviews about reliability issues so assume they’re naturally temperamental.
