This is a follow up to my original unboxing/review of the Simpson PS 60843. It boasts 4400 PSI @ 4 GPM, all with a Simpson-branded engine that many people are curious about.
In this video I talk about my experience with how it's held up after almost 3 years of ownership, and do some general cleaning so you can see how it does for yourself.
Short answer: Yes, I would buy it again. Just be prepared for some sore wrists/arms.

I got to say I just bought the same power washer. I received it this morning put the oil in it gased it up power washed my van as well as my front porch and walkway. I went back to the pressure washer and saw creamy colored goop on the ground. Water got into the pump. When I received it and looked at the pump I saw the creamy color in the glass but even though I was a tad concerned I overlooked it beings it was new and never had a simpson before. Its obvious that they tested it as the hose had water in it. Now it's in the shop. It is a factory refurbished so I'm shocked they didn't catch that the pump was taking in water. To say the least I wasn't happy. I told the shop I took it to that I wanted a new pump as I wasn't confident the piston wasn't scored. The first shop said they wouldn't take warranty work from simpson and the second one wanted a deposit. Makes me feel Simpson doesn't have a good reputation with the venders they use. Sad.

I heard Simpson and DeWalt are exactly the same and made in the same assembly line the difference between them are the brand name some cheaper Simpson have predators and some have Hondas same with DeWalt that said IV used DeWalt with minimal issues so I opted to buy the Simpson with Honda motor

Thank you for the review. I have the same model as yours (4,400 psi, 4 GPM), but the Dewalt model and it works well too.. Would there be any differences, if any, between the DeWalt and Simpson- and do you think the Simpson would be any better than my DeWalt?
@MikeWebb-FlyingFinanciallyFree
@MikeWebb-FlyingFinanciallyFree 3 жыл бұрын
Hi David. I don’t know if they’re any real differences between the two other than branding. The question is which brand do you have more faith in: Dewalt or Simpson? Most folks would probably say the name they are more familiar with. Bottom line, if it works and you’re happy with it, that’s what matters.

Do you use non ethanol gas? Also, when you had it delivered, where you able to lift yourself or did you purchase the additional lift gate option?
@MikeWebb-FlyingFinanciallyFree
@MikeWebb-FlyingFinanciallyFree 3 жыл бұрын
No non-ethanol gas is very difficult to find within hours of where I am, so, no. I did pay for the lift gate; $50 is worth it to save bodies/avoid injury.

Going to buy this Pressure washer, however since i am wary of the inadequate packaging and being dishonestly sold a reburbished product for something that's claimned to be new i will order it through my local Homedepot. This is one of those purchase where i will have to accept the sales tax.

The power washer arrived last Wednesday. It was quickly unboxed and assembled. He washed the entire house and the deck. Then Friday he loaded it onto the pickup,grabbed Wesley and drove out to our log cabin. They had a wonderful time washing all four sides of the cabin ,the front porch, and the back deck. They came home wet and tired but very happy. Thanks for your video. They were very very helpful . If you ever get up this way my husband would like to buy you a beer or two.

It will, especially at close range.
@MikeWebb-FlyingFinanciallyFree

It would, at close range, with the pressure regulator valve at max (or close to it) I tend to dial down the pressure for most applications, and only use max pressure if something proves really stubborn.

I was in the market for a new PW & watched a few videos and read some reviews regarding this unit. The reviews were relatively positive and I purchased one. The engine started after 6 pulls and shut off after about 3 minutes of pressure washing. Had to pull start at least 25 times before it started again.It worked good for 10 minutes and then the pump broke. If you are considering buying one of these units, I would do more research and avoid this model.
@danieloakes6637
@danieloakes6637 2 жыл бұрын
Sounds like u had air in the pump and didn’t shut it off and reprise. Mine almost did that to me the first time I used it. I primed all air out from the hoses so I thought, started it and took off washing the parking lot. I got about 100 feet away and it went erratic and pump started to scream. I realize what happened and had to run back to the unit to kill it before it burned the pump. It was leaking gas from the over flow tube and wouldn’t start back, like u said. I almost body slammed it but decided to pull it one more time. It started back, never acted up again and has made me thousands.

I forgot to mention the part that I left the wand about 100 feet away and wasn’t able to release the compression to pull the cord without going back to the wand to hit the trigger. Pissed me offfff! It definitely needs a release valve on the unit
