Thank you for those kind words. I'm glad you found it useful. I'm just an average joe looking to share my experience with this hardware. So far I'm still happy with it.

I was thinking about getting one of these so I was hoping I could see what it could do. Unfortunately, I didn't find what I was looking for. An electric pressure washer can get the mud off a truck and rinse a driveway. Surely you didn't buy that for that. That's way overkill , that's more for softwashing and cleaning concrete.

You are very welcome, trust me you're not the only one. I looked through the instructions 3 times and it never said what it was for. Luckily I found it online with a diffent models manual.

Thank you, so far so good. It starts up first or second pull with the choke which I disable immediately after starting. The CRX engine runs loud and strong - uses more fuel than I expected, but I keep the idle high. I've probably only got 20 hours of run time, but haven't had any issues yet.

Also where can u get the gas and what type should u use?

@@Escapemindprison HI, thanks for the comment - I just use regular 87 octane, then add a shot glass of that fuel stabilizer. I think Simpson recommends 'low ethanol' fuel because water is always near the equipment. Ethanol absorbs water, which makes your gas go bad. If you use the equipment a lot, regular fuel is fine and you can skip the fuel stabilizer. The gas will be consumed before it goes bad. As for the choke, I found I only need it on the first start of the day (cold) - I did not show it in this video (started it off-camera) Once it fires up, I immediately turned it off. If it's really cold out, you might need to run it with the choke for a few minutes. If it's really hot out (or the motor ran recently), you may not need the choke at all. The sound of the engine will help dial it in - smooth fast idle is what I like to shoot for.

Thank you for the comment - It should definitely not be gushing out of there. Mine drips a little bit, but not bad. Did you install the rubber piece with the mesh screen? (Shown at 5:14 in this video). I fully seated mine with pliers, but I think tapping it in with a medium socket would have worked too. If you did install that, maybe try tightening the hose a little more to the machine using a small pipe wrench? I put the wrench on the hose, and then tighten the black knob with my hand. If the tip of the hose is damaged, that would prevent it from sealing too. Hopefully it's just that seal. If it leaks BEHIND the knob (closer to the pump) then we might need to remove the knob to inspect another seal. Good luck! Let me know how it goes.

@@kytodd7802 I don't really understand why Simpson is so careless to leave the o ring/filter/mesh screen loosely in the box that it eventually gets crushed/damaged.This is the same thing that happened to mine when I was unboxing the pressure washer,you are even lucky in your own case that you are able to salvage it to be reused,in my own case the screen was smashed completely and when I got in touch with SimpsonCleaning the guy that I spoke with said that I should buy another one from Amazon and the one that I got from Amazon is flat and not concave like the original one that c ame in the original box although it is a Simpson part.

@@abibodlogistics Sorry to hear that... I expected better customer service from Simpson. Hopefully that flat filter seals your leak. It should function as well as the concave one. Any luck fixing the leak?

The yellow / red cap? That is for the pump oil - not the engine oil. If you add oil there, the pump would be over-filled and the engine would be empty. Hope that didn't happen!

Pretty close fit... I'm 6ft tall if that helps. I doubt it would fit in the door opening unless you have a hatch back - I would think a truck is your best bet. its probably 75 lbs

I have the same unit, I should fit pretty easily, if not the handles come off easily

Hi, what nozzle are you using? If I recall correctly the manual states only use the siphon tube with the black (unrestricted) nozzle. I tried it with a different color nozzle, but it didn't produce much soap.

You need to be using the soap nozzle for starters. If the psi is too high, then you'll have problems getting that injection into the hose. May need to adjust pressure unloader

It doesn't hold soap, only injects it from your own batch, through the pump and out the wand. He didn't show the chemical injector.

Working great, I almost always run it full speed, a tank of gas only lasts a few hours of use. No issues whatsoever (I use it maybe once a week)

So it's worth spending 300 more dollars on a pressure washer for the cat pump?

When I bought my 3400 psi Simpson in spring of 2022 one of the big selling points for me was the Cat pump and the Honda GX engine.

@@billyvice1520that’s because Simpson (Subsidiary companies) manufacture their own pumps (AAA) and their own engines. 3years on engine 5 on the pump is pretty good for a sub $1000 4gpm pressure washer.

Yes it's cheap and easy to fix (I did...) Maybe a simple zip tie would have prevented it? A reputable manufacturer appreciates that feedback so they can improve their product.

For a $900 machine in a market littered with machines less than half the price - yeah you bet I'd be emaing them asking for a replacement if it arrived damaged
