Nevertheless, it makes my head spin and sends a shiver through me over the sheer... hmm... inventiveness of the human brain... When did Jesus's disciples understand this stuff? I'm guessing "never" despite living/eating/sleeping/walking with Jesus for several years... at least none of them ever wrote anything definitive about any of this... dual natures... essences... I can picture James the son of Alphaeus saying: "So let me try to understand this... you're one person in the three-person essence of the tripartite God... but you're also a dual-essenced dude sitting across from me at the dinner table. I have a divine nature in me too - the Holy Spirit. And I'm 100% human, just like Jesus. But if you want to worship me as God, I'll be just as offended as Jesus is when people turn him into their golden calf.

Imagine if someone said, "Jesus Christ is two persons - one who is God not man, and the other, man not God". There is much we could rightly say in refutation/condemnation of such a statement. And I would argue that one of the problems with it is the following: (*) It would mean that we cannot worship, trust for salvation, and yield over to: the man Jesus Christ, while maintaining God alone as the object of worship, trust for salvation, and yielding. (*) Question I would want to ask some Christians: Though you profess that Christ is one person, do you still hold that in Christ are two *somethings* - one being God not man, and the other, man not God - where this ends up working in such a way that the problem exposed by statement (*) still applies? I do think that this matter could become a PRIMARY ISSUE.

In the Revelation, one of God's Holy Prophets... sent from heaven by Jesus... seeing God clearly face to face....the only human recorded in the Bible that has seen God face to face CLEARLY in heaven, calls the one who sent him, Jesus, LORD GOD OF THE HOLY PROPHETS. Rev. 22:16 and Rev. 22:6-9. I have a question for you, teacher. If after seeing and hearing this vision gifted by God to God's Holy Prophet John, if you were the Holy Prophet John, how would you interpret Revelation 22:16 and Revelation 22:6-9? The fact that no levitical priest, prophet, King, scribe, apostle or Jesus himself ever expounds on the trinity should be an eye opener, but sadly dogma is more important than truth. Read the Church councils, no biblical character ever spoke as they did about God. The trinity is pagan, set yourself free.

I just recently thought about Jesus a man sitting at the right hand of God. Then I thought of Jesus saying God is a spirit and those worshiping must worship in spirit and truth. Then I listened to this and thought this is incomprehensible and thus why it always ends up a mystery. I try not to think about it. I can’t rationalize it. It seems contradictory. Humans are one in essence. Does this mean humans are many and one in essence? If we are to understand this way, there is no problem because we are talking about 'deity' just as about 'humanity'. The logic must be applied the same way in both cases.

What does it mean to have a human nature. Jesus existed as a spirit. If he has a human nature doesnt that mean he was human when he was with God? Or the his nature changed?

Then when Jesus Christ rose from the dead a new genus came into being? After the resurrection did Jesus Christ remain two distinct “essences” inhabiting one body, or is He now an entirely new and different being just like the first Adam was in regard to the human race?

Jesus said god is spirit and must be worshipped in spirit and in truth. He also said that the flesh profits nothing.

Every Biblical source on earth AND THE AUTHOR(S) OF ANY YOU TUBE OFFERING, telling us Jesus is not GOD, OR IS GOD, see through the glass darkly, 1 Corinthians 13:12. God is Spirit. Not "a spirit." Big difference. God condescended into mortality. He took upon Him flesh and blood to offer himself as a sacrifice to satusfycthe demands of justice.

I don't agree, I would've liked for him to explain this alot more. This doesn't seem right. This raises a lot of questions as to what made Jesus so separate from humanity and why God couldn't do all humanity just like they did Jesus. If he had both a human nature and he was God. That also raises a question what other things do humans struggle with besides sin.

What was the nature of Jesus as human? Jesus was God in human form. He was perfect, sinless in every way, like no human being before or after. He was not just good; he was God. Despite the fact that he was tempted in every way just as we are, he did not succumb to human desires, needs or temptations.

The problem with Chalcedon it is makes it sound like Jesus did miracles by his own attributes of deity. But Scripture does not bear this out. The book of John illustrates many times that Jesus did miracles by the Father dwelling in him in the power of the Holy Spirit. This is why Jesus did no miracles in his childhood, or early adult life. It was after the Holy Spirit came upon him that the miracles started. Hope that helps.

What on earth are you talking about? All humans have spirits. Some are more evolved and most are still learning. In the body of christ a highly evolved spirit was fused at birth with the purpose to educate us to be more spiritual and nonviolent. Most of us body vessels forget our spritit purpose in life but highly evolved spirits might influence their vessels to remember it and carry out our purpose….like jesus. On the cross, no fear of vessel dying since the spirit in him knew it would be born again, and again…. Also it already knew this act might be a part of the purpose all along, like a map with a destination already written. That is not true! Fully human fully God and one nature. When Jesus walked over the water who did that? the Divine or the human? When he had the Temptation from Satan? It wasn't show!

Jesus WAS the almighty God in a very distant past. The only difference from before is that He is now like a normal man since He FORSOOK his power. The almighty God therefore is ONLY in that past and therefore "no one ever saw God" "the world has not known you". However, from that past God is able to REACH US here in the LIMITED FORM of a spirit "God is a spirit". For example when you have someone on the phone, you can say that he is present in your room "in the limited form of a spirit" since you can talk to him, but you cannot touch him: he is absent. It's a kind of workaround since the almighty God cannot be "directly here" for reasons in connection with his terrific power.

Jesus is God in the flesh. How could God not become a man? He created man in his image.

By comparing this to Revelation 5:12, we see that JESUS is worthy to receive not only GLORY, HONOR and POWER, RICHES, WISDOM, STRENGTH and BLESSING. So, Jesus gets twice as much WORSHIP as GOD according to this verse! Revelation 5:13 goes on to say that every creature in heaven, on earth, under the earth and on the sea gives WORSHIP to the One SITTING on the THRONE and to the LAMB. If every creature in existence is worshipping, this must mean that JESUS is not a creature. So, the only other option left is that Jesus is the CREATOR who is certainly worthy to receive all WORSHIP. Revelation 5:13-14 make it obvious that the ONE SITTING on the THRONE and the LAMB are both GIVEN EQUAL WORSHIP by the heavenly occupants. Men are creatures; angels are creatures that are above men. But JESUS IS ABOVE the angels and is not classed with them When GOD brings his FIRSTBORN into the world, HE says,“Let all God’s angels WORSHIP HIM.” - Hebrews 1:6) In speaking of the angels he says, “He makes his angels spirits, and his servants flames of fire.” We have seen that He is not an angel nor an exalted man, but the Bible attributes to Him that which can only be said of GOD.

The trinity is not biblical at least not the way modern christianity teaches it. God the father and Christ the son are two separate entities. But the Father and the holy spirit are the same exact entity.
