This is his actual voice. His high voice is called “Counter Tenor”. I’ve never heard anyone, especially other singers, say he was imitating anyone. He has many songs with a high & low voice. Plus Italians say his diction is perfect. I agree I’ve never heard a singer like this that can go from different ranges so flawlessly. He’s is from the Philippines & was homeless for many years & never learned English. He’s been on AGT 3 times. His voice is extraordinary.

I agree with you 100%!! Every vocalist who does a song that someone else has already done IS "singing". The level of PERFECTION varies from one artist to another. That being said, this man's SINGING IS IMPECCABLE!! His vocal SKILLS are OFF THE CHARTS. He is an incredible SINGER!!!

Your reaction was priceless! It's my understanding that Marcelito Pomoy taught himself this song by listening to and mimicking a recording. His performance is gorgeous considering that he requires a translator to carry on a conversation in English even though he understands it well but has trouble speaking it. He speaks the Philipino broken english, but being self taught is also singing in English, Italian, Spanish and Chinese. Possible more by now. He grew up on the streets from age 7, and now is married and a father! His ambition serves him well in whatever he does!

Almost all male singers cannot produce the same tone as great female singers. At least I have never seen a male singer singing her song with the same tone as Celine Dion. But it's easy for Marcelito who can produce a variety of voices. What's more, he can also produce very attractive male voices, and can instantly switch between male and female voices to sing. I think he is the only singer who can do such an amazing thing.

He doesn't have Celine's outrageous diva tone. If you listen to his other Celine covers, it sometimes lacks certain voice effects like lingering longer or stress on a note. That's Celine's character&style but Marcelito does a great imitation of her voice.
