In this podcast i've noticed something about Michael Franzese. When i look at this gentleman, one phrase comes to my mind "Always say less than necessary"

My nephew (6year old) came home from school and said their teachers told him he can wear a skirt if he feels like wearing one. I asked him if he wants to be like a little girl or like a big boy who’s strong and powerful. He understood straight away he wants to be a boy. Probably teachers still think what’s wrong with him, who are in their 40s.

At 70 I am sooooo grateful to come from a generation that was taught the word no and it mattered not who used the word if they were an adult. By the time I went to kindergarten if the teacher said no it was a done deal. I remember whenever we'd go somewhere my dad would say " Remember you're along for the ride ", which meant behave yourselves. I remember my mother and her permanent instruction to sit like a lady and act like one too. From my father, I learned that words matter and so did instructions. From my mother, I learned that I was special in the way I conducted myself as a lady. I have had a great life with little regret because of my parents. My advice to young parents, be a parent, not a best friend.
