The best thing of your tutorial video is that you explain things very well even if you know that shortcuts you first show it without using it and then move to it. By far your the best for me and I'm sure for many others too.... Thanks

Your step around 3:58 calls for rectangle tool. Then option or command to get it to center on that point. I've pushed EVERY combination on my macbook with Option, Control, Command, Function. And nothing will draw a centered rectangle. Any ideas what i could be missing? Great videos, though. Perfect for a project I'm about to start.

Hi Tom! What version of SketchUp are you using? Drawing a rectangle from the center was introduced in 2018, so it is available in SketchUp Pro2018 and SketchUp Free.

Got it! Thanks. Trying out the 2018 now and seeing how it works. I'm missing the keyboard shortcuts in it so far.

What was that step about double clicking at 6:50 to make the other half of the cross match? Doesn't seem to be taking.
@SketchUp5 жыл бұрын
Double click while still in Push/Pull. If you leave the command or do anything else before double clicking, it will not work.

I'm having the same issue as Tom Ward. My version is SketchUp Pro 2017 for Windows. Can't afford the license for 2018, does the 2017 version license transfer over? In the meantime, I'm using the polygon tool as a workaround - set the N sides to 4, and center it on the crosshairs as shown in the video.

Hi Damon! You can check the status of your license here: www.sketchup.com/license/renew

It reads: Year one (active) 30-day Expired All along one gray bar.Its also asking me to renew support for $180.
@TheDamonRa6 жыл бұрын
I went to that URL and what I saw, looks like it says Maintenance & Support expired in May, 2017, and its $180 to renew that - which includes a $60 reinstatement fee, and guarantees the latest version of SketchUp (meaning I can upgrade from 2017 to 2018 under this). Can you verify this is the case?

@aarondietzen29956 жыл бұрын
Honestly, I have no idea! The music and opening animation have existed since before I started at SketchUp!
