After using the Isntree bha toner, I could never go back to Paula's Choice. The finish is so much better. It's not greasy, tacky and icky on my skin.

YES. My god I feel like the only person who has that gripe with it lol. I’d be fine with it at drugstore pricing, but it’s way too expensive to have a “meh” texture. The isntree is what i always wanted the PC to be!

For anyone curious, the CLEAR line (blue bottles) from PC is watery like a toner. Not oily at all like the gray bottle ones. BUT! only if you get the regular strength one (still 2%), because the extra strength one or whatever they call it, is actually just the gray bottle version (they did it so as it would be easier to follow for people, but they also made it weird at the same time, since it's the same product). Definitely going to try the Isntree one though (if I go back to a BHA serum over a BHA cleanser). The WORST example of an oily BHA is The Ordinary Anhydrous BHA. WOW was that unpleasant! I didn't know enough at the time to pick up on the squalane base lol. Then they came out with a normal one again, but I like the watery texture of the PC CLEAR one more (regular strength). I put it in a TO dropper bottle (got heaps of them).

Part 2 please! If you have a dupe for the Krave Beauty Great Barrier Relief, I’d really be interested. I love the Peach & Lily essence. I didn’t know how much until I took it out of my routine for a little while and my skin missed it. It looks and feels like water, but really packs a punch.

I know it’s not a dupe but I very much prefer the stratia liquid gold over the Krave. I’ve used it both with drop or 2 of tamanu oil or the stratia fortify oil just when I feel I need it. I know this comment and video was a long time ago but thought I’d comment anyway 😊

A dupe i love for the skinceuticals vitamin C serum is the Timeless 20% Vitamin C Serum, it has ferulic acid and vitamin e and is soooo affordable, so light (it’s watery) and free shipping over a certain amount of money that’s not too high (just can’t remember what that threshold was). Lookout for sales, full price it’s $27 but on Black Friday and around Valentine’s Day their whole site was 40%!!!!!

I've been a loyal Timeless Vit. C serum user for the past 5 years. I love it because it is always freshly manufacturer so its crystal clear when it arrives. I use it liberally every day, so I have never had one turn brownish. For awhile after they switched packaging I had one that developed brown drips on the packaging, but they seemed to have solved that problem. All of the bottles I received in the last year have been fine. And as a PS. I would love to see Alice try some of the Timeless products and report on them.

Oh, that Versed mask is exactly my acid percentage speed. In fact, lately the once a week exfoliating product I have been using successfully lately is the BoJ Apricot blossom peeling gel. Once a week! So, I LOVE the G&G Vitamin C, and the Timeless. I haven't tried the SkinCeuticals and I am happy enough alternating G&G and Timeless that I see no need to try it! Finally, definitely yes to more dupes videos.

Everything I’ve tried from Geek & Gorgeous is amazing. C-Glow & A-Game are HG, the toner is amazing and I also love the Stress Less serum. Because I’m in the US, I buy things in bulk. I’ve bought 2 C-Glow serums at a time, along with the mini bottle to decant into, and keep the larger bottles in the refrigerator. I’m just about finished with my 2nd bottle (purchased in November), which I kept in the fridge & decanted about every 10 days (the little bottle is kept in a bathroom drawer) and it is still perfectly clear.

Could not agree more about Neutragena makeup remover, and the konjac sponge. Especially for aging skin and thinning wallets. (Yes, I said wallets) I use the Neutragena for my mascara and lipstick before I even use my balm...then a mild cleanser. That way I don't have to pull the skin around my eyes or lips. Same thing with the konjac sponge. I think it's pretty gentle if used with a balm, cream cleanser etc., and a gentle touch. And at my age, everything counts!😄 Loved this "alternatives " video ❤

I'll always be sad that the people who bought Aubrey organics decided to comoletely change the product lines getting rid of my beloved Blue green algae cleanser. It was creamy, it was soothing, it was affordable it was naturally lightly scented, it kept acne at bay, it kept my pores clear. Why oh why oh why??? 😥

I agree with you about Lancome Bi-Facil! I also love Neutrogena. I keep the single Neutrogena makeup wipes in my purse for daily on the go, and their good for travel too.

Another reason to use the bi-phase cleansers: some cleansing balms can’t be used around the eyes, a lesson I learned with 😥 irritation after my first use of the Elemis Rose scented version! (that I love for the rest of my face 🤓) I have a few biphasics picked up from random brands (Kiko, Make P:rem, etc) but I agree the Lancôme is the best. Paula’s Choice is my 2nd favorite. Although I use the PC 2% BHA because of how effective it is, it’s way too tacky. I’ve always hated that. Their other 2% BHA is much nicer but annoyingly more expensive. Thank you for that Innistree alert! I prefer pure liquid BHA, so the Inkey and TO versions were never gonna be my jam. And thank you for the P&L rec, and all the others… and for all the knowledge and positivity you share. 💟✨🥰 ☮️💟🤗

Oh my gosh the Elemis rose was the most painful cleansing balm I’ve ever used around my eyes!! I think that experience really cemented a parallel in my mind between the smell of rose and the feeling of dislike 😆

Yes, you feel me! It’s almost more surprising to experience neutrality with a product vs passionate dislike. I can explain why I dislike products. Neutral products (especially the hyped ones) leave me going 🤷♀️🤷♀️

Oooh you got my attention with the possibility of a Bi-Facil dupe but yes my eye makeup is very bold so I’ll stay put. FYI you were right I’m loving the Good Molecules balm, it’s very solid for travel but melts beautifully when applied! Definitely prefer over Banila, TTDO etc

YUP, good molecules is my travel go to. I love other, melty-er (lol) balms - but not for travel. Have had too many of those liquidate (I’m just playing with words today 😆) in the car. The worst is when they separate and form terrifying shapes in the jar. People thought Huda had a bacterial-looking eyeshadow - they should see what happened to my beloved Eve Lom after a hot car ride!!!

I added that isntree toner to my wishlist so quickly! I personally don't have an issue with the finish of the PC one but I switched to the GG SA serum because of the price point! Can't justify the PC anymore so after I try the Ordinary one isntree is up!

Oh! Not a dupe, but a non-drying, pleasant-to-use exfoliating cleanser I am loving is the Beplain Greenful pH-balanced cleansing foam. I only use it every other day because--exfoliation + Kimberly's skin cannot be every day! But it's sooo nice to use. But it doesn't smell fun. It doesn't smell bad but kind of.. clean???? Idk but I love it.

I have an Amazon dupe I got it has a heat cool and light thing on one side u can use with serum or on top of mask I paid like 20$ for it I carved it one time I had it for years and that things is still kicking I can't even believe it it's a real like round one disc shaped with the foreo.ppart on one side and light and a slick warming cooling side with all different modes. I can't use farmacy how either. I have lots of issues I have to be care but funny I can use DE baby facial but I did start making the time on my skin half the time but it would be nice to have a cheaper product. I don't use it much anymore because of all the sensitivity I was having. It was crazy for basically I wasn't using much heavy exfoilant Don't they have the new version of the Lotus essence they just supposedly UPDATED it the annoying thing of taken perfection and messing it up that's how I look at it only a few time reformulato has been for the bestm

A dupe I discovered for the Tula Cleansing Oil is the Haru Haru Cleansing oil. Neither have essential oils or fragrance, and have rice bran oil as their main ingredient! The Tula one is $30 but I recently got the Haru Haru one for around $12 on Stylevana! They feel extremely similar. I love them both but of course I always wanna save my coin where I can!

I've never tried the Lancome, but I had heard great things about the Neutrogena. I tried and tried it, but it would not remove anything from my face. I had great luck with the Benefit remover, but I wanted something that wasn't so darn expensive. I don't know if I got a bad batch or what, but it just didn't work. I usually wear minimal makeup- waterproof mascara is about as crazy as I get. I finally ended up pitching it in the bin, and I'm still looking for something that works (I'm currently mad at Benefit, so that one is completely out of the picture).

Was it the dual phase one? I don’t even bother with makeup remover unless I can visually see those two distinct layers in the bottle. I learned this from buying a Maybelline and Physicians Formula version that were junk - ugh so useless!

I found a lotus seed essence but it's under the PL site but I have never seen it before idk if it's a new product it's not the blue essence from PL . Of course I wanted to try the lotus essence but discontinued of course I'm irritated all my favs and wants are either reformulated or discontinued so annoying Anyways try the Thank u farmer rice toner I think u will love it so much more then the Dear Klairs rice toner it's a bit thicker almost like the Dr C and laneige but more moisterizing, I'm really liking it. I'm not having a good time with Vc serum but I was gonna buy the 👻 democracy and of course the Bday 23 sale I didn't catch as soon as I ordered it it was off sale I was so mad also thought about trying the B. Lab one that looked nice and alot of Korean utubers rave about. Timeless is the best I found but still cant use it on the daily but I thought about buying the 10% one in the half size to try it out maybe 20 % is to much for my skin or maybe I'll get the glow receipe dark spot c one. Also want to try the numberzine 3 serum heard it was great and frag free and ess oil free.

The Pure Lotus?? I actually got that one in PR, but it was too scented for me 😭 Omg I get so mad when I miss sales lol. Or when I order too soon - Sephora got me recently. Placed a huge order and NOW they’re doing 500 points with $75 spend 🤦♀️

Maybe their gonna do one of those reformulation things again and bring it back 😭

Timeless has a good Presidents’ Day sale! But I personally have so many favorites from G&G now that they’re staying my default. Freshest AND I can get my retinaldehyde!

I really like lancome bi-facil, but i don't use It anymore because its not cruelty free neither neutrogena 😔. I'm really enjoing hanskin pha oil, really easy to remove eye waterproof products, if you have a chance, try It :)

Have you tried the keep cool and soothe toner? The company ethics are pure shit and I am trying to find a dupe for it but the one I was suggested was the peach and Lily one. It might be worth a look for you.

I started using Fresh Black Tea Kombucha Essence a while back, but discovered in my recent quarantine -free trip to Korea that at Olive Young drugstores, they were selling Telse Kombucha Essence which was actually a richer version of the Fresh Kombucha Essence, with a rather serum texture. It is cheaper too at 25 USD or so in the equivalent.......

Yes to a part 2 for sure. I loved good genes at first, like literally after the first use but now that I've been using it for a while I feel like I like the biossance one better🤷🏼♀️ I don't like PC bha either, I use Farmacy and CosRx as my bha products. What about the Timeless vitamin c as a dupe for Skinceuticals. I love G&G c-glow. And I understand what you are saying, I am tried of looking for good vitamin c products and only hearing they won't work use C E Ferulic🙄

I've been using the Timeless vit. c for a couple weeks and so far it's showing good results. I have a few stubborn dark spots that are starting to fade. Not sure if I am liking enough to replace C-glow, I prefer it's texture, but the results seem better so far

Dupes videos always welcome! Obviously not a dupe but I was thinking about what other products I know with lotus in them... Rovectin's lotus water cream? It's 75% lotus water apparently. Do you think that you can get similar lotus benefits from that, or just way too different?

Alice have u heard anything about the Mario badesco illuminating eye serum or their peptide eye creams are? I think I'm going to try the medicube one in your video. I use belifs moisturizing eye bomb qnd I LOVE IT but want to try some other eye serums and creams that offer more. My skin loves belifs products as I'm very sensitive and my skin just loves their formulas. I use their cleansing oil and balm and essences qnd moisturizing toner and then I also use the aqua bomb and moisturizing bomb . I enjoy their whole line and my skin loves them but think I need an eye cream that's going to do more for me. My eyes are extremely sensitive and I have thyroid eye disease so my eyes r extremely sensitive! Any suggestions? I have alot to learn but thanks to u I'm learning! My eyes are sensitive too, so my best advice: remember that skincare products migrate in the skin (Dr. Lancer talks all about this in his book). So no need to apply eye products TOO close to the eyes. Not that I’m saying you do, I’ve just seen some IG reels that make my own eyes water 🤣🤣 My favorites are still: medicube peptide eye cream for day use, glow recipe avocado retinol for night use. DDG retinol eye serum (although it might be too strong depending on sensitivity) as an eye serum. Honorable mention to: brightening eye creams for a concealer/color correcting effect (lots to choose from now, currently enjoying origins - fragrance warning though) and Heimish marine eye for the thickest, night-only eye balm. And my wish list: Versed retinol eye balm. Going to try that one in the future! Hope that helps!

It’s actually granactive retinoid, which is HPR (probably at around 0.1% pure HPR). So overall, I would say it’s a more gentle retinoid. If you’ve tried the granactive retinoids from the ordinary or Sunday Riley A+, those include this same ingredient (at higher concentrations in those two). It’s intriguing as I don’t see it in eye creams too often!

Silamarian for your skin really , I take that as a supplement what does it do for your face in a serum. I want to try the chestnut toner I think I'm almost out of the PC I have had it a year exactly today and I'm still not done lol I think it may be alittle harsh for my skin idk it's affective but I don't really like the texture greasy feeling of it , I can't use it all over my face I just use it in specific areas and everytime I use it my skin peels.

Antioxidant/anti-inflammatory benefits. Which - granted - there are a lot of ingredients that do this! It reminds me a bit of the succinic acid drama with the inkey list. Sure, it may be a great ingredient, but it’s not the only ingredient nor is it the most extensively researched for skin benefits!

Oh shoot I need to find my test strips. I did some cleaning and misplaced them (the dreaded “let me put this in a special place” 🤦♀️) However, if it helps - newer research has shown that BHA is not pH-dependent (AHA still is)
