It's weird that their black version does not support the OLED model when Nintendo's own original black dock supports the OLED model just fine. I would like to know.

Does the little piece of plastic (that is guide for docking) scratch the plastic bottom behind Switch? I'm scared about it so i'm still using the core drive only

Your original dock also has that. It's only to direct the Switch to place its USB female port on the USB-C of the dock.

Nice video. I wonder if the NeoGrip’s Plus Grip works fine docked at the JumpGate without the grip touches the desk.

They do. Using the large grips it just pushes the switch forward a touch, but works fine.

Tobad this dock dont support 5.1 sound. You onlye hear left and right but when conect normal dock 5.1 works

Is picture quality the same as if you use the original Switch dock. I read online that the quality is slightly degraded compared to the original dock.

The same if you buy the proper one for the proper model you have. Buy the white one to future proof yourself just in case you bought the OLED model.

No it doesn't. Even Nintendos official dock isn't capable of doing do this, it's only a TV output source

Question for everyone who has one: I have recently purchased a Samsung TV and ever since I have had random black outs mid game for a few seconds on the switch, I know I’m not the only one who has had this but I had tried everything else that’s been recommended and nothing. This is the one thing that I haven’t tried and I’ve seen someone say that this solved their problem. Has anyone else had this issue and have the Jumpgate be the solution???

Thank you for the review, but I feel like you missed out some key elements. You say that the dock(the plastic piece that's not the core drive) is what you use with the switch. For me it's not. I want this for travelling, and I don't want to bring the dock, only the Core Drive. So: Can I use the Switch OLED with only the Core Drive? Also, for charging I would like to avoid the official charger. When I travel I bring only one charger with me for all my devices. You don't mention if this is supported or not? Do the Core Drive support regular PD-chargers?

Thanks. Firstly, I will try and get hold of someone at skull and co to see if you can use the core drive on its own. It’s not mentioned so didn’t discuss it as in past videos I don’t want to give false hopes. Especially in sensitive topics such as 3rd party docks. And as for the cable, as mentioned you can use anything that sends power I just happen to have an official cable to hand. HTH

Been watching your vids for awhile now. I got my OLED Jumpgate a few months ago. Now it suddenly stopped connecting to the TV. It only charges my switch.... Do u know if that means my jumpgate is busted?

you said that these docks work with the switch lite? If they did thats a pretty big gamechanger to me. I'd much prefer the switch lite form factor while still being able to play on tv sometimes.

Only to charge. Lite won’t connect to a TV no matter what you use.

Does the jumpgate charge the switch fast enough while in TV mode? For example, if I'm playing botw in TV mode and the switch is at 50%, will the battery decrease after an hour of play or slowly increase?

Fun fact no dock will work with the switch light as the switch light does not have the chip needed to perform the tv video out with an HDMI cable so stating that these switch docks will work with the switch light is false advertising.

I'm highly skeptical of the claims of that Skull & Co video. There are no registered cases of Switches getting bricked for using the wrong charger. All the brickings are related to docks somehow. This cannot be explained by voltage quirks. It's not hard to believe that many of those third party docks do weird things with voltage. But this doesn't explain how come using a different charger does not brick the switch. I have honestly charged my switch through tons of varying quality chargers and cables and never experienced a bricking. But I'm very careful not to try video output without the official dock.

It shouldn't as is gives out the same voltage that the official nintendo switch dock and plus if your really that worried about it then just use the official nintendo switch power supply with this third party dock and you should be fine.

Dude it shouldn't brick your switch as it gives out the same voltage as the official nintendo switch dock and the main reason 3rd party docks brick switches is because 9 times out of 10 they dont give the correct voltage needed while this one does, and yes in the grand scheme of things it's your choice whether or not you want to spend the money on it but don't condemn one item just because most others have issues with bricking switches.
