I love that last part. Cory challenges Mr. Feeny’s course of action - But instead of Mr. Feeny ignoring the question and walking into the classroom or saying something like He’s the teacher it was his right to suspend him - Feeny takes that moment to help Cory see the situation from his point of view and why he did what he did, even though it was Shawn. That moment really shows the type of relationship Cory and Mr. Feeny have. And it also shows how Mr. Feeny will take so many opportunities to enlighten and teach his students lessons even if it’s as simple as reminding Cory that Shawn is choosing to ignore the potential he has as a student. P.S. for those of you who grew up watching this in the 90’s and early 2000’s do y’all have a hard time calling Mr. Feeny by his first name. lol. It just seems wrong.

I didn't see it as an a-hole move by Feeny Cory and Topanga knew where Shawn was and they kept making excuses for him. By punishing the entire class he finally got them to tell him where Shawn was so his frustration is justified.

@@manoftomorrow79 what about any kids that had no connection to Shawn, Corey, or Tappanga and were being nothing but respectful and attentive in class that suddenly get slammed with this gigantic essay because of their actions? What’s their recourse now? Are they going to turn on Shawn? No, they aren’t with him. Are they going to give the three students that got them in trouble the silent treatment? Maybe, but they never talked anyway so what’s the difference? Only a-hole teachers use the punish everyone method. And it’s always the innocent students who don’t have anything to do with the bullies that get screwed over the worst! It doesn’t matter how hard they work or how good they are in class they get punished because the teacher is either to lazy to discover the real trouble maker, somehow lives under the delusion that hurting the victims along with the bullies will deter bullies that hurt victims for fun, or just like to take out their frustration over the accumulation of all their poor life choices on the kids in their care.

Only difference is shawn is the student and Mr. feeny is his teacher and shawn was given an opportunity to avoid being disciplined! instead he took the high road and gotten himself suspended. (Free will is not a pass to excuse one self from disobeying an order, or one too disregard rules altogether) unless such an individual is more then prepared to face the consequences of their own decision makings. Lesson learned, for Mr. hunter.

You know, so far, you seem like the philosophical right-or-wrong debater type I could discuss something with. I know a guy from work; let's call him Scott. He's a college man l find immature, kind of obnoxious, and sometimes tactless. I think he just like to kid around, but it's not always so obvious to me. For example, he once mentioned a coworker's sagging belly, face-to-face. I don't _think_ said coworker resented that, but in general, you _have_ to be careful with weight jokes. He was the same coworker Scott snuck up behind and poked in the waists. I don't think the worker minds him, but I would personally. He dissed my hair a couple of times, though I will admit the 1st time his girlfriend said he was just having fun with me. Still, I guess I officially decided he's nothing more than a jack@ss, who pretty much has no feelings; the more you clown around, the harder you can be taken seriously. That's why I told him to _"put a sock in your @ss...I mean your mouth."_ See, I was about to tell a coworker something when Scott interrupted me, I think with some clownish comment or joke. I can't remember. It wasn't a _casual or natural_ interruption; otherwise I wouldn't have faulted him. I guess I was annoyed with the _way_ he interrupted me, and because I'd already decided he's the unlikeable type. I would've thought he wouldn't care about my sass--given the natural point of view that immature guys don't have fragile feelings--but he said something about how I should be careful how I speak to people. Maybe _certain_ people? He's _ironically_ a student leader. I can't remember his response so well, but either way, he vaguely showed he didn't care for my words. I wasn't 100% sure though, because his type don't make it obvious whether they're being serious or not. In the end, I said, _"Hey, I'm sorry for saying [said quote]."_ From what I remember, he replied, _"You're good man_ [which made me feel good]. _You just need to learn how to speak to people"_ [which _immediately_ made me feel bad and _swiftly_ ended my one-second good feeling]. I don't appreciate his adding the "learn how to speak to people" thing, because that's like saying "I forgive you for being a thoughtless jerk." You shouldn't add a negative truth to an apology acceptance, because otherwise, it defeats its own purpose. Plus, I think his remark was hypocritical; yes, I have a problem with filter, but duh, he does too. I think it's better I just don't talk to him at all. No interaction, no conflict, no jokes, no nothing.

@@coreykindle5892 he made a mistake. Shawn had been known to make those alot when it comes to school. He went to a college course and when he impressed the professor like he was smart and didn’t need high school. Corey was just born a loyal friend knowing if Shawn stays suspended he won’t get to college for real and get demotivated to even try accepting the mindset that people like him don’t go to college when Corey knows Shawn is capable of so much if given a chance and he felt Feeny was robbing Shawn of that chance even if Shawn did deserve it. @@Rkay421 he made a mistake? A mistake is when you accidentally do something without much time to think about it. I guarantee you he gave his decision to skip school and sneak into college classes alot of thought. Corey knew the consequences as well and a true friend would've advised against him doing so. A true friend would've told him he knows he's capable of more but ditching high-school isn't the way to go about this and you still want to do it then I want no part of this plan. I'm not going to support stupidity just because he's my friend. Unfortunately, Corey supports his dumbass idea and they both get pissy when Shawn is caught because " but you can't suspend Shawn in his senior year". Ehh...this time around I'd give him a C. Majority of percentage for allowing Shawn to explain the first time, and following up on a penalty and school policy. He loses my 30% for that assignment add-on to his entire class for chest-thumping purposes. He should've asked to see Cory after class if Shawn was in trouble again. Then he could've said, "Mr. Matthews, when I'm on the clock I attend to my students' performance. When they're not performing I take stock as principal and instructor in their welfare. You can be a roadblock or a gateway to Mr. Hunter's wellbeing, but I'm bound towards the truth regardless."
