The Imperial Legion/Imperial Guards couldn't care less for Commander Maro only his group cares for him, you can murder some pentulus oculodus (I cant spell it OKAY) outside of castle dour and the guard will be like 'HOW DARE THIS AGENT ATTACK OUR THANE,' take note I attacked the agent in broad daylight

Same, I did a playthrough as an Imperial guard/Officer. Using the Officer uniform (actually the only difference is the Officer helmet). And it was fun. I also played as a Storm Cloak in another. But I enjoyed going around killing off the soldiers of the opposite faction. Funny how it's the small things that can add to the enjoyment 😂

@@buddha3209 That hatred towards the Altmer stems from not only the Altmer having equally snobbish attitudes towards all human races(note that guy saying they'll all be slaves before Galmar ices him), but the Great War where they and Nords like Galmar fought and butcher each other on the battlefield. That kind of hatred doesnt just magically fade away once a war is over.

If you have the unofficial patch they become regular after you complete the civil war. Great fodder for werewolf/vampire lord perks.

If you stand at the gate to Solitude and cast Mage Light at the mountain, your Alteration will go up like crazy, and since you can reset a skill every time it caps at 100 as long as you've been filling out the tree, you can pretty much level indefinitely. Someone figured out you gain skill exp based on how far it travels and the ideal spot for maximum skill exp

Just means you’re a foreign fighter who joined a cause you thought was worth fighting for. Plenty of individual foreign fighters in real life who travel abroad just to help rebel and militia groups of countries not their own.

I think him being killed offscreen was implemented in a later patch, since i do distinctly remember during the early years of Skyrim running into Ondolomor in Stormcloak occupied Markarth, wondering how the hell he managed to not get killed.

That is a bug, the first fact here is that exact bug, which has been patched out, but might still occur, given it's a bethesda game.

The game itself is full of bugs. And one of those bugs is Heimskr not being imprisoned when he needed to be. So that bug fix mod fixes the game's script to work the way it should be and imprisoned him.

Open Civil War, More content and user-friendlier than Civil war overhaul.

The most interesting detail of the whole affair is that the Dominion (the Thalmor especifically) manipulated Ulfric while in captivity to create his entire persecution and nationalistic persona. Basically, they wanted to make him so xenophobic that he would plunge Skyrim into a Civil War that would weaken the Empire, since Skyrim is fabled to be the cornerstone of the Empire as the only loyal imperial province to ever refuse to fall (even Cyrodiil yielded to the Dominion's demands, while Skyrim was so nationalistic that even after they "officially" began to honor the Concordant, citizens still keep secretly honoring Talos with ful knowledge of their Jarls who do nothing to stop it).The "loyal" part is the important one because the only strong force the Empire still had in it's provintial forces outside the Nords were the Redguards of Hammerfell and they went independent instead of submitting. The Concordant basically was created to especifically create hatred in the Redguards and the Nords towards the Empire, hence why it specified that half of Hamerfell would be given to the DOminion (which the Redguards refused) and that Talos worship would be stopped (which got the Nords really upset leading to the Civil War).

I believe both sides should calm down. Though I prefer the Empire winning, I can understand why some people want the Stormcloaks to win. For now, until we get further information, no matter which side you choose, it’s not canon until Bethesda tells us who won. And I believe even if the Stormcloaks win, they will probably join a military campaign with the Empire to take down the Dominion, or something like that. The Empire is not evil or wrong, and the same goes for the Stormcloaks. We fight each other, even though the true enemy (which the Empire was probably planning to take down already most likely) are the Dominion

The main problem with that logic is that Hammerfell, even when ditched by the empire, managed to beat the Dominion so unity isn't required at all to beat the Dominion. Another problem is that the Empire is showing every single sign of decline and no sign of being able to stop that decline. The emperor is a moron who screwed his own Empire over so badly with such a horrid treaty that his own imperial court is trying to assassinate him, the Empire is regularly resorting to breaking its own laws to win things (even the opening of the game is illegal by imperial law, but the Empire no longer cares enough about its own integrity to the point where it doesn't hold itself accountable), and half of Nirn NOT with the Dominion hates the Empire too and have been regularly seceding 1 by 1 and prospering instead of declining (Hammerfell, Black Marsh, the Dominion itself, etc), AND the empire is filled with Thalmor Justiciars constantly doing sabotage while the Empire is letting the Dominion freely re-bolster its forces with no interruptions. The Empire means well, and they do have a good point, but it's simply not possible at this stage for it to continue. It's on its last breath, desperately trying to cling to strength that it no longer has and cannot ever gain back. If it tries to fight the Dominion again as it is planning to...it's fucked. Most of its former territory forces are gone, their current lands are filled to the brim in saboteurs, the Blades are gone, and the Dominion has none of these problems. The Empire is just trying to make a grandoise suicide attack at this point, and it's downright selfish if not abhorent to believe that other places should sacrifice themselves in this suicide just to make the resulting death more spectacular.
