I've always hated those ingame tuts delivered by characters, but it's for kids who can't figure anything out and need their hands held at all times.

To be fair, although I don't even remember, I was like 12 years old when this DLC released and I definitely went with the Vampire lords but only because I had no idea you could even side with the Dawnguard. The tutorial would have helped for sure, but it's really uncanny in retrospect to hear an in-game NPC talk about actual game mechanics. @@theslicefactor4590

Consistently has a “Detect All Creatures” power which detects all active (and if I remember correctly, detects also the dead) creature/folks (*INCLUDING UNDEAD AND DWARVEN MACHINES*) which helps avoid detection and potentially breaking (or at least compromising) certain quests. *3*. Gains a massive amount of physical power and a considerable speed boost and also gains “Life Drain” (which allows for ranged combat and frequent HP regain) and “Vampire Grip” which can bring towards the Vampire Lord his enemies and stop attacks. This form (when played right) can even challenge simultaneously and defeat two dragons! *4*. Can combat simultaneously and take down two dragons; also has a power, “Corpse Curse”. Although it does not preform the intended function of paralyzing the dragon, it will *INTERUPT THEIR BREATH ATTACK* which may potentially save the Dragonborn. *Perk Tree Perks* Power of the Grave: 50 point bonus to health, magicka and stamina as a Vampire Lord. Detect All Creatures: Night Power: Detect all creatures, even dwarven automatons. Mist Form: Night Power: Turn into an invulnerable mist, while health, magicka, and stamina regenerate. Supernatural Reflexes: Night Power: Everything slows down while you move faster. Blood Healing: Killing a person with a power attack bite restores all your health. Unearthly Will: Night Powers and Blood Magic cost 33% less. Poison Talons: Melee attacks do 20 points of poison damage. Fire is more effective when blood-sated and more so when not. *12*. Very vulnerable during the day. Conclusion: The Werewolf does gain a *massive* about of power, but that’s all it gives. I have thusly concluded that there are too many high quantity and quality disadvantages to the Werewolf to be worth (in my opinion at least). To quote Cell regarding this form as an analogy: “All that you have done is pump up your little muscles, and there’s nothing special about that. I could do that too if I wanted. You see, it’s rather easy to transform and flaunt your power, but it’s not going to get you anywhere if your opponent has any sort of speed”. Vampire Lord: This form is a very well-round transformation which does more than merely grant more power. It may be severely weak during the daytime hours, even when in sealed form, and one must basically sacrifice half a day but the trade-off for that minor inconvenience is more than worth it. To quote Marshall D. Teach regarding this form as an analogy: “Unlike you, I can’t just turn into an element and dodge an attack, and the pain that I absorb when I get hit is much greater than what a normal human feels… But the trade-off for that inconvenience is more than worth it.”

+Wiezymon this is where mods come in, there are plenty of mods out there that improve werewolves (one of them being MoonLight Tales) hell I know a guy who is making a mod that will allow you to use shouts and spells in werewolf form (and even make them stronger then they would be in normal form) so basically Werewolf without mods: good for a tank build and first playthrough but go with vampire next. Werewolf with mods: what the fuck is a vampire?

Nope. Three people max (on master setting with max perks) people is all a Werewolf can handle, in my humble opinion. The Vampire Lord can be outnumbered 10 to one in the same settings and mess em' all up. Mist form, bats, poison claws, gargoyle summoning, freakin' Jedi grip?? Werewolf is good, but it's all about the Vampire Lord.

With the jedi grip i thought it was for close range so long until one day i was fighting in the midlands and i used my grip and sucked a fella from extremely far away Ithought it was a glitch at first but then i realised my true abilitys.

You can become a vampire lord during and after the dawnguard quest line as well, once during a mission, though if you're part of the dawnguard you'll need to get cured by either going to falion or becoming a werewolf, and an unlimited number of times after the quest line is finished.

Though his plan isn't a great one, I do feel that the writing there was purposeful. When you go mad with power/get completely infatuated with an ancient prophecy, you may not consider the long-term consequences of your actions. I think he's a solid character.

Computer Assisted Biologically Augmented Lifeform Vampire Lords are way faster and they have that OP red magic spell. Only things Werewolf can do is punch and scratch.

vampire can be helpful for thief/assasian builds as well due to the increase of sneak and the embrace of shadows power along with the transformation of course that will help you get rid of someone without a bounty
