This video details how the new Early Boss Rush exploit was discovered and how it'll be used in Any% runs from here on out to complete Skyward Sword as fast as possible. I did this in a single take, and did flub some speaking but oh well.

It feels like it was just yesterday that this run was five hours long, but now we have reverse bit magic and early boss rush, shaving off three and a half hours from that, and making some things that we thought would be impossible to get around possible.

Little more than a year ago this game used to be borderline glitchless, now it's almost outright OoT-tier broken (if you discount ACE). God damn.

well we had BiT since almost the start, the true glitchless zelda that will never be broken is Spirit Tracks :/ (also TP but it has more glitches, no large skips tho)

I remember playing this casually and deciding, "Hey, let's skip a third of the game," cause it was so easy at the time. Now that's been eclipsed by new, easier tech that cuts out like another third. Can't wait for Boss Rush Skip in a month.

There's a spreadsheet documenting all of the scene flags in the game and where they are in memory. My guess is that they looked carefully at the spreadsheet until they noticed that these RBMs were theoretically possible, then tested them out to see if they worked.

Kinda weird that Imprisoned 1 sets the flags for ancient cistern and fire sanctuary being completed when the actual fight happens before you're supposed to get into those dungeons

thats because with those flags make the imp 1 fight does not play properly, AC beaten flag puts the groosenator into sealed groudns & FS puts groose into the sealed grounds. So in oder to play the properly you need to unset those flags at the beginning and then give you back after the fight

Really simple to explain why. The game assumes you've beaten them already and both of those events modify the sealed ground. It needs to set those flags off to reset the sealed ground for the fight, and then gives them back to you to restore the state of the sealed ground afterwards. So the sealed ground ends up in a post imprisoned 2 state and that sets the correct layer for the gate of time. Gg u win
