Thanks for a good update on the matter! The problem with post-graduate education is that too many would end up as uber drivers or baristas after graduation as the economy doesn't need so many phds or masters and there are already too many of them to begin with. If I need a business analyst, I'd rather hire a person with a proven track record in biz analysis than a guy with degrees. Might be better to explore first job prospects by each province and then make your choice; Canada needs lots of skilled trades but each province has its own way to attract newcomers.

I actually agree with you, many students with spouses are now forced to take the Masters Degree, some priority sectors like healthcare and trades are in community colleges with diploma and certificates only - I think they need to come up with another policy which will not deteriorate the trade and healthcare sectors.

Hello... Great video... appreciate your inputs... could you please tell me what is the new GiC requirement? Is it still 10K CAD in GIC and remaining 10K CAD in home country bank account or should the whole 20K CAD be deposited in GIC?

There is no specific requirement for a GIC, only for the funds in total. However the funds in a GIC well recognized by IRCC, as the money is in CAD in Canada and can not just be withdrawn quickly after getting approved.

Hii, I would like to ask. If I have all the documents ready including my proof of funds up till February bank statement available, when I have the letter of attestation do I need to request a new bank statement for march or I can just send it. My resumption date is for May.

The bank statement should be as recent as possible, so before you submit your application, maybe just get an updated one. But if its only a month old or less, that should be okay.

I would check on the with IRCC and also your school. But I would guess yes, since it is just like applying for the first time for the next intake.

They processing time is not always the same for every case but yes there is still a high demand from people that want to study in Canada.

I have a question and I need your advice, I intend to bring my spouse and my kid some months after landing in school for the September intake of which I have paid my tuition, however with this recent changes of ban on SOWP by the Canadian government, How do you think it's best for me to still bring my family after I start school? What options could you advise ?

One option would be to take a masters Program that allows to bring your spouse on a OWP. Otherwise you can study first and make your way to PR and then bring your family afterwards. It is a post graduate program because you take it after a bachelors degree.

hi coach good morning...pwede po bang mag tanong coach..ako po c Charles,nag lodged ng application last December 05, 2023 until now(March 25,2024)wala pang update...my question coach is,hindi po ba ako affected sa new rules ngayong 2024 at si spouse as OWP?si spouse is hindi pa na e lodge kasi waiting pa sa approval ko as per advised ng agency

If your spouse has not applied yet, then they might be affected by it. I suggest to follow up with IRCC regarding this and get an update on your application.

As we understand there is no clear regulation on that yet. Likely you will be able to bring your spouse but check for updates with IRCC

IRCC has informed all provinces and territories that they must have a process for issuing PALs to international students in place by March 31, 2024.

You can submit your application while having a visitors visa but the same rules apply, you still need the attestation letter.
