These days the slipper clutch is a standard equipment of almost all sorts of motorcycles. Even though this one is a relatively simple concept, the slipper clutch can provide a huge contribution to improving the performance and safety of your ride. In this video, we will see how a slipper clutch works.

Super clear. Loved the video man. I’ve worked on both normal and slipper clutches but never really knew what the “assist” part of an assisted slipper clutch was. Great job explaining!

In some cases it is possible to retro fit the slipper clutch in a motorcycle. Take the case of RC390 for example, the first generation RC390 can be fitted with the slipper clutch from the second gen RC390 because KTM didn't made any mechanical changes to the engine or gearbox, both the components were exactly the same in both motorcycles. But in the case of the R15 , I am not sure. Because the engines in the V2 AND V3 version of the R15 is not the same, they have some significant differences. I would suggest you to contact your local authorised Yamaha dealership for more clarification.

Revving Heart Local dealership mey unko yeh sab bare mey ku6 nahi pata hay..bohot log aise v hay jinko sliper clutch k bare mey v nahi pata sahi se...mujhe lagta hay ki sirf bore and srotke and silinder hi change kiya gaya hay v2 nd v3 mey...baki sab sayad ek jaisa hi hay..uske sath sliper clutch and VVA diya hay.. Ab. Koi agar yeh experiment kar k dehe to pata. Chalega..

Hii, I bought a bike Apache RTR 200 in may 2017 and its come with Wet Multi-Plate (6-plate) clutch. now, it's not a year passed company launched upgraded model with the only slipper clutch. so, my question is can I replace my wet clutch with original manufacturer slipper clutch? or need to replace the whole engine?

Thanks for the question. Probably it should be possible to retrofit the slipper clutch if the overall dimensions and design are same as old multi plate clutch. I will suggest you to visit a near by authorised service centre and make an enquiry about it.

The thing is, we just can't install any slipper clutch on any motorcycle. It has to be specifically designed for that particular motorcycle. As far as I am concerned there is no slipper clutch is available for the Royal Enfield Classic 350.

Still it is not common in every bike in india. And you said 3 years back. Available in almost every motor cycle 😅 Only available on bikes cost more then ₹1.5lakhs now.

Prakash Reddy, guess you have not interacted with many malayalees... It's his natural accent and he is not trying to sound Western... That is how malayalees naturally sound when they talk English.
